Currently, Philip has an edge over Xander in the storyline since he has taken over the position of the head of Titan. The people in Salem around them have also picked sides, with Philip confiding in Stephanie and Sarah maintaining her steadfast stance by her husband Xander.

The plot hinges on Philip's forgery of Victor's will being maintained. It remains to be seen whether Xander will be able to one-up his brother, or lose his position at Titan for good.

Philip and Xander Kiriakis are in the middle of a fight over their family company Titan. Initally, Xander was ready to sell a major chunk of the company shares to Kristen DiMera, so that he could obtain a serum in return. This chemical concoction was meant to help Xander's wife Sarah regain the ability to walk after her involvement in a car accident.

However, before Xander could do so, Philip returned to town. Paying a visit to the Kiriakis home, he directly challenged Xander to the ownership of Titan, effectively preventing Xander from trading the company shares. Since then, the two brothers have been locked in an intense battle on the issue. Philip's mother, Vivian Alamaine, has also been pitching in to help her son get a leg up in every way possible.

The disagreement stems from the fact that Xander only recently discovered that he is Victor’s son, officially making him part of the Kiriakis family. He took over as head of the family company Titan, after gaining this knowledge. On the other hand, his half-brother Philip grew up as the Kiriakis heir but has been the black sheep of the family for very long.

At the time of Victor’s death, the Kiriakis patriarch left his holdings and position to Xander, not Philip. But Philip and his mother Vivian decided to reclaim what they felt was rightfully theirs. They forged a new will, giving Titan to Philip as Victor’s legitimate heir.

Currently on the storyline, Philip has replaced Xander as head of Titan. Hence, even though the will has been forged, Philip has more power over Xander at the moment. However, the situation might change dramatically if someone were to expose Philip and Vivian's schemes to Salem.
