The official social media for the soap released a weekly promo video that mainly centered around the people returning to Salem for Doug's funeral. The video also revealed that the funeral and the episodes surrounding it would have many flashbacks playing in memory of the character.

Since the soap is also celebrating its 15000th episode this week, the citizens of Salem shall get to see many familiar faces returning to town. From Ciara Brady Weston to Hope Brady Williams and Belle Black, many characters shall be seen on screen for brief storylines.

Which characters are expected to appear during Doug's funeral on Days of Our Lives?

Days of Our Lives spoilers have revealed that the upcoming episodes of the week shall revolve around Doug Williams' funeral. The audience might expect to see many flashbacks of the character's life and times as the story progresses. Characters like Liz Chandler and Marie Horton might appear in these flashbacks, taking viewers on a journey through Doug's life once more.

At the funeral, Doug's wife, Julie, shall deliver his eulogy and rest her head on his framed picture to say her final goodbye. Meanwhile, Roman Brady, Steve Johnson, and Kayla Johnson shall be seen sharing drinks at the Brady Pub. The three shall toast to Doug's memory.

A second toast shall also take place at Casa de la AbeLina. Paulina Price, Abe Carver, Eli Grant, and Lani Price-Grant shall meet up. Dressed in mourning attire, they shall be seen bringing their glasses together somberly in honor of Doug. Eli shall even be at the funeral, accompanied by Ciara Brady Weston.

Another character that shall be seen in Salem is Belle Black, who will first go and visit John Black and Marlena Evans' penthouse. Belle might even talk about the prospect of meeting Shawn Brady again since he is also returning to town for the funeral. However, Belle's arrival is also set to bring some drama into the story. Spoilers indicate that she might kiss EJ DiMera, making for a complex and interesting meeting when Shawn returns.

After the funeral, Ciara will be seen opening a large mysterious box. Jennifer Horton Devereaux, Lucas, and Shawn will be gathered around to watch the proceedings. On the other hand, Gabi Hernandez shall be seen comforting JJ Devereaux and giving him a comforting shoulder to unload his worries. In a heartbreaking clip from the promo video, Hope Brady Williams was also seen in Salem, crying and laying flowers over Doug's grave.
