Days of Our Lives is one of the longest-running American daily soaps, premiered in 1965. The soap's storyline, set in the fictional Salem city, focuses on the residing families and their interactions in the area. During the storytelling, the show often introduces new characters, has them exit, and brings them back for an enigmatic twist.
One such character is Sloan Petersen, played by Jessica Serfaty, who debuted in the soap in August 2022 and exited in June 2024. However, since Sloan's story arc did not get a proper conclusion, she is likely to return to the show. Further, recent pointers hint at a probable re-emergence of the character on Days of Our Lives.
The once-crooked attorney was on her journey to redemption when she suddenly left the show. She might be back to complete her journey to becoming a better person. While doing so, the lawyer might also solve the Abigail identity issue currently posing the biggest secret on Days of Our Lives.

Days of Our Lives: How Sloan and Abigail's story arcs might connect?
Fans following the plot of Days of Our Lives already know that the fake Abigail is slated for some romantic time with Chad DiMera in Paris. While there, the impersonator is expected to propose to Chad and fake some memories. While Chad is likely to be suspicious of her hurried move to connect with him, he will need more proof to believe she is an impostor.
Sloan, who left Salem to move abroad, could also be in Paris at the time of Chad's visit. Being an efficient attorney, Sloan is good at uncovering evidence - something the impostor is unaware of. If Sloan can unearth enough proof against the fraud Abigail, Chad can be saved from the Clyde Weston scheme.
On the contratry, Sloan may find the real Abigail and bring her back to Chad - putting an end to Clyde's evil plan.

What clues hint at Sloan's possible return on Days of Our Lives?
For one, Sloan's story arc did not get a proper closure. As such, her return, even if brief, will provide the arc an opportunity for some culmination.
Fans may remember that Sloan abruptly accepted EJ's offer and skipped town with a lot of money. This came as a surprise for Days of Our Lives followers, since Sloan wanted to approach Nicole and Eric Brady about the switched baby incident.
She planned to come clean, giving fans a glimpse of her moral side. However, before her redemption, she seemed to take the easy, and greedy, way out. Her remorse and vindication are pending in the storyline.
The second clue is the recent confrontation between Eric and Melinda Trask, about the latter's role in the baby swap. While Melinda assisted Sloan in switching and stealing Nicole's baby, she would not want to own up to the complete responsibility for the fear of losing her job. She is likely to bring Sloan's name to the fore, leading to the attorney's entry back into the show.
The third hint of a possible return for the attorney comes from the DiMera siblings' feud. As a livid Stefan put forth a formal complaint against EJ, he brought out EJ's role in the baby's swapping case. While EJ has threatened to file a defamation case against Stefan, the investigation is likely to escalate. That may ensure Sloan's re-entry into Salem.
Back in Salem, Sloan is likely to face imprisonment. To try to lessen or evade punishment, she will have to expose someone else, and Abigail is currently the biggest conspiracy in the town.
