Days of Our Lives weekly recap from December 23 to 27, 2024: A Christmas in Salem

Days of Our Lives brought one of the final weeks of December to a close with Christmas celebrations in Salem. As families gathered to celebrate the holidays, some underlying drama also brewed beneath, as always.

Rafe and Jada experienced professional differences following the arrest of Hattie Adams, which was spurred on by Paulina's involvement. Alex confronted Philip about receiving half of Titan's shares, while EJ hired a lookalike of Rafe to do some dirty work for him.

Meanwhile, Ava received mysterious and threatening texts after her date with Brady. Although she currently suspects Kristen of the deed, it was revealed to the audience that it was actually Kristen and Brady's daughter, Rachel, who was behind the texts.

Monday, December 23: A threat

Ava received a mysterious text after her date with Brady and initially thought it was Kristen texting her due to her equation with Brady. Later, Kristen and Brady got into a heated argument after he accused her of trying to sabotage his relationship with Ava.

At the police station, Rafe brought Hattie in for questioning regarding her as Lady Whistleblower. Hattie was confused and denied the accusations, even though she was subsequently arrested for spiking the cupcakes on the Body and Soul set.

Tuesday, December 24: Competition

Stephanie spoke to Kayla about her feelings for Alex and his fling with Joy. They also discussed Stephanie's kiss with Philip. Meanwhile, Alex confronted Philip about receiving half of Titan's shares.

Rafe and Jada experienced some competitive tension over him being the one to bring in Hattie but resolved it with apologies later. Meanwhile, EJ hired a lookalike of Rafe named Arnold.

Wednesday, December 25: Celebrations anew

Tate planned a special birthday celebration for Holly at the pub, complete with a birthday banner and gifts. Later, Tate even confessed his love for her. Xander and Sarah prepared for the Horton Christmas gathering, expressing gratitude for having each other in their lives. They also shared a dance at the Kiriakis mansion.

Meanwhile, the Hortons continued their family tradition of hanging Christmas ornaments for each of their relatives and loved ones. However, JJ and Jennifer remained suspicious of Doug.

Thursday, December 26: A surprising reveal

Amid the festivities, Marlena was seen missing her husband, John. Lani and Eli celebrated Christmas by bringing their children over to Abe and Paulina's house.

At the DiMera mansion, Kristen and Rachel tried to see eye-to-eye, but Rachel remained upset that her parents were not together. Ava approached Steve to ask for his help with the threatening texts she was receiving. Later at the DiMera mansion, it was revealed that Rachel was the one sending the texts.

Friday, December 27: The road ahead

Leo met Doug in the square, handing him an envelope containing money from the sale of Alice Horton's necklace.

Sophia and Tate spoke about her unexpected pregnancy, while Rafe and Jada settled on a wedding date. Later at the police station, Jada convinced Belle to consider the role of a district attorney.
