Days of Our Lives weekly recap (September 16 to 20, 2024): The truth about Connie finally revealed

Days of Our Lives fans saw quite a booming week from September 16 to 20, as Connie rose and fell with her murder plans. Even as she kidnapped Gabi and Melinda, Jada grew more suspicious of her and followed her trail.

Abigail shared a few moments with Chad, but ended up having to fool him on Mark's advice. She pretended to have regained some memory, leaving Chad happy and herself guilty. After his visit with Abigail, Steve suspected that something was amiss.

Stefan and EJ fought about Gabi, even as EJ was in some trouble for helping Sloan kidnap Nicole's baby Jude. However, he did something heroic by saving Gabi's life as the week's storyline came to an end.

Monday, September 16 - Troublesome feelings

Abigail and Chad shared a moment as they flipped through their wedding album. She felt overwhelmed at the pictures of the two in love. Even though the audience now knows that Abigail isn’t who she seems, she might be falling for Chad regardless of her schemes. Meanwhile, Steve was worried that Abigail might be hiding something and wondered whether to conduct another DNA test.

Xander was ready to vent out on Brady, when his mother Fiona revealed a secret to him. Fiona told her son that she had slept with Brady, much to Xander's disgust.

Tuesday, September 17 - A Trail of Blood

Connie continued to wreak havoc with her murderous spree, telling Melinda that Gabi would be her next target. Even as Melinda tried to escape, Connie attacked her prisoner with a knife and regained control.

Then, Connie confronted Gabi, who had just been taunting Stefan with her and EJ's physical relationship. Connie revealed to Gabi that she was the one who had stabbed Rafe, and that Gabi was next on the list. Meanwhile, Jada discovered the bloodstains on Connie's door, hiding something sinister.

Wednesday, September 18 - Held Prisoner

After a dramatic confrontation with Gabi, Connie kidnapped her and stashed her in a secret room in the DiMera mansion. It was revealed that Melinda was there too, with bandages from her injuries. Connie decided to kill them both to "avenge" herself and Li.

Meanwhile, Jada put out an arrest warrant for Connie, suspecting that she was Li's killer. EJ and Stefan also had a face-off over Gabi and Ava.

Thursday, September 19 - Tick, Tick

Gabi regained consciousness in the DiMera mansion to find herself as captive with Melinda. The two shared brainstorming ways to get out of Connie's clutches. But Connie caught them both off guard by leaving the room after activating a bomb to blow up the room and the house with them inside.

Meanwhile, Stefan asked Ava to sleep with him again after a conversation with EJ. She angrily declined his offer. EJ returned to the DiMera mansion and found a bloody poke rin front of the fireplace, making him suspicious.

Friday, September 20 - The Aftermath

The bomb went off in the DiMera cellar, even impacting EJ as he made his way down there. Nevertheless, he managed to find Gabi and Melinda, just as Jada arrived at the scene too. They rushed the injured victims to the hospital immediately.

Meanwhile, Abigail told Chad that she remembered their wedding vows, and perhaps her memory was returning. She later felt guilty as she saw Chad's elated expression. Abigail later confessed to Mark that she had found the vows in Abigail's mementos, and felt very bad for leading Chad on.

As Gabi regained consciousness in the hospital, she thanked EJ for saving her and arriving right on time. Jada also successfully located Connie and asked her to drop her knife.
