Sharon Newman is a central character in the storyline of The Young and the Restless, a long-running soap opera airing on CBS since 1973. Sharon Collins-Newman, played by Sharon Case, was introduced in the soap in 1994 and has been a significant part of the soap's plot.

While she has multiple romantic relationships, Sharon is currently a mother to three children after losing Cassie in an accident and having a miscarriage later. Cassie's twin, Mariah, is her eldest, followed by Noah and Faith.

While her story arc started with her arrival in the fictional Genoa City as an 18-year-old and getting hitched with Nick Newman, she has since portrayed the traumatized mother and a person battling mental health issues in the show. Actor Sharon Case has won seven awards for her portrayal of Sharon Newman on The Young and the Restless, including Daytime Emmy and Soap Awards France.

The Young and the Restless: A quick look at Sharon's children

Sharon conceived five kids in total but is currently left with three. In order of appearance in the storyline, her children are Cassie, Noah, Faith, Mariah, and the unborn baby that Sharon miscarried.

After her forced intimacy with her high school romance, Frank Barritt, Sharon supposedly gave birth to a baby girl who she had put up for adoption. Later, this baby, named Cassie, was traced down and reunited with Sharon.

By then, Sharon and Nick Newman were a couple with a son named Noah. After a divorce and getting back together, Sharon had another baby with Nick, and the couple named her Faith Newman.

The Young and the Restless storyline in 2014 found Sharon hallucinating about Cassie and worrying about her mental health. It was later revealed that Cassie had a twin, Mariah, Sharon's daughter, whom she was unaware of. After getting the complete picture, Mariah was slowly accepted into the family.

Her fifth child was a result of her intimacy with Dylan McAvoy, resulting in their marriage. However, she miscarried the baby and checked into a mental facility for her bipolar disorder.

Where are Sharon's children currently on The Young and the Restless?

Sharon's daughters, Mariah and Faith, are with her emotionally and physically. While Mariah was a late and reluctant entrant into the family, Faith had her own period of teenage tantrums and social issues. However, after surviving her traumatic incident with Cameron, Faith is more home-inturned since her mother's breast cancer treatment.

Mariah has been playing an important role in assisting Nick with Sharon's current mental health problems. She has been keeping a tab on her mother's condition and her medications. She works for Sharon's company, which keeps the mother-daughter duo close.

As for Noah Newman, he has been missing in action for some time since he left for work abroad. The Newman boy faced disappointment in his various romantic interests and turned broody after Tessa. To add to his insult, Tessa married his sister Mariah, and his mother helped arrange the wedding.

While there is no news of Noah's return to The Young and the Restless storyline, it may be a good addition to the current scenario. He is another person who knew and loved Cassie besides Nick and Sharon and may be able to support Sharon emotionally.

Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless as Sharon fights to hide her guilt and keep her family together after presumably killing Heather and getting rid of the body.

Fans can catch the soap on weekdays on CBS at 3 pm ET.
