Drew's past as a military man and his election to Congress are elements that add layers to his character. However, fans have expressed frustration regarding his controversial actions, which often overshadow these aspects.

Recent storylines involving Drew Quartermaine on General Hospital

Drew Quartermaine's character has seen significant developments over the years. He was introduced as Jason Morgan's twin brother. Drew and Jason are the biological sons of the late Dr. Alan Quartermaine and his late mistress, Susan Moore. He has been at the center of numerous storylines, including his struggle to reconcile his memories with his new life.

Drew clashes with Micheal Corinthos first when he starts an affair with Micheal's wife, Willow Tait. After discovering the affair, Micheal files for divorce from Willow, and Drew continues to have a relationship with her.

Willow even took Micheal and her kids out of state to Drew's swearing-in ceremony without Micheal's permission. This bothered Micheal, who used it to his advantage to gain custody of the children in the ongoing divorce.

In a recent episode, Micheal was severely injured when he got caught in a fire in Sonny Corinthos's house. Micheal was immediately rushed to the hospital but has not yet recovered.

Drew's attempts to support Willow in this situation came across as controlling, leading to backlash from viewers. He was seen motivating Willow to use Micheal's situation to her advantage and obtain custody of the kids. Drew's decision to speak on Willow's behalf and take charge of sensitive matters has raised questions about his motivations.
