5 things you didn’t know about Days of Our Lives star Ashley Puzemis

Ashley Puzimis joined the cast of the soap opera Days of Our Lives in the role of Holly Jonas in October 2023. Holly Jonas is an IVF baby and the daughter of the late Dr. Daniel Jonas and Nicole Walker. Holly was introduced as an infant in 2016 when her surrogate mother, Chloe, gave birth to her.

Since then, Holly was raised by Eric Brady and was portrayed by different actors until she finally turned 17. Since then, Ashley Puzemis has portrayed Holly's journey as a late adolescent and young adult.

1) She became NARCAN certified while researching an overdose scene

Ashley Puzemis's character, Holly Jonas, has gone through a drug addiction arc in Days of Our Lives, much to the consternation and worry of her loved ones, including Tate.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Ashley said she did extensive research on drug overdoses, and what she found hit close to home when she realized that Los Angeles also has a fentanyl problem.

She then got a NARCAN certification online, as she wants to be prepared for the possibility of coming across a friend or loved one overdosing.

2) She once starred in an HBO show

Before her time on Days of Our Lives, Ashley Puzemis worked on the HBO Show The Sex Lives of College Girls in a minor role. The series, created by Mindy Kaling, followed the story of four college freshmen roommates who were students of the fictional Essex College in Vermont.

The Sex Lives of College Girls premiered in November 2021 and was renewed for a third season in 2022.

3) She appeared in Nickelodeon's Danger Force

Aside from her adult-oriented roles, Ashley Puzemis from Days of Our Lives is no stranger to children's TV. She appeared as Kennedy in a 2023 episode of Nickelodeon's Danger Force.

Danger Force is a spin-off of an earlier Nickelodeon superhero show known as Henry Danger, which followed Henry Danger as he progressed from the sidekick of Captain Man to a genuine hero in his own right.

In Danger Force, Captain Man and Schwoz train a new generation of superheroes by picking four new candidates to attend Swellview Academy for the Gifted.

4) She starred in 2018's Culture Clash, which was conceived as a pilot

Culture Clash was a 2018 TV Movie intended to be a television pilot for a series focusing on the difficulties faced when a man who hails from an African-American family tries to marry a woman from a Midwestern family.

Ashley Puzemis from Days of Our Lives starred as Tiffany alongside screen heavyweights such as Lea Thompson, Matthew Glaive, and Beth Behrs. Unfortunately for Ashley, the TV Movie was never greenlit for a series.

5) She starred in a music video with over 210 million views

In 2019, Public the Band released the music video for their single Make You Mine, starring Ashley Puzemis from Days of Our Lives in the leading role. It became an online sensation, garnering over 210 million views as of writing.

The music video portrays a simple love story between a shy, awkward kid who connects with a girl (played by Ashley) at a party and gradually falls in love with her.

Near the end, the video seems to subvert this storyline by revealing he was just imagining everything, but just as he's about to give up on pursuing her, they bump into each other anyway.

The music video proved so popular that Public the Band released a sequel video in February 2020, which is a parody of zombie horror movies and has the main couple turned into zombies themselves, only for the man to remain in love and propose to his now-zombie girlfriend.
