Eric Braeden's Victor Newman is an imposing character on The Young and the Restless. For decades, Victor has been dominating the soap's storyline and his family as he grew his business from scratch. His famed feud with the Abbott family is one of the show's major draws.

The Young and the Restless is one of the long-running American daily soaps airing on CBS every weekday. The show, which premiered in March 1973, revolves around some of the influential families of the fictional Genoa City. Some families featured in the soap's storyline are the Newmans, the Abbotts, the Winters, the Baldwin-Fishers, and the Chancellors.

The Young and the Restless: What brought the fan discontent towards Victor?

While Victor Newman and Jack Abbott's feud is an old truth on Y&R, this time, the former has been both calculative and ruthless in his actions. First, he employed Kyle Abbott and drew him away from his parents. He exploited Kyle, Jack's son, to manipulate information about his father.

He egged on Kyle to make him comfortable, including firing Audra at Kyle's demand. After Kyle had worked hard at Glissade, Victor gave Glissade to Jack Abbott's wife, Diane, in exchange for Kyle's job.

On the one hand, he convinced Diane to fire Kyle, while on the other, he sold off parts of the company before leaving Diane with what remained. He is also set to pull his granddaughter Claire Grace-Newman away from her relationship with Kyle. This way, he ensured that he hurt Jack and Diane's relationship with Kyle and robbed Kyle of his job.

He also pressured the physically ill Jill Abbott to sell her company, Chancellor Enterprises, to him, and he made Nikki the CEO of the company. This left Billy Abbott with no work and no company. He had refused to go soft even when his children, particularly Victoria, had asked him to refrain from targeting Billy.

The Young and the Restless: What may be Victor's future after his brutal move?

In the episode of The Young and the Restless that aired on Monday, November 25, 2024, Victor was seen taunting Billy Abbott about getting romantic with Sally Spectra after his heartache over losing the company. Billy told Sally he meant to avenge, but Victor would be unprepared for him.

Billy's calm anger hints at some harm coming Victor's way in the future. Moreover, Victoria had told her father that Billy, with nothing to lose, might be dangerous. However, if harm befalls Victor, Billy is not the only Genoa City resident to suspect. Besides Jack, Diane, and Kyle Abbott, Victor has also enraged Audra Charles and Lily Winters with his ruthless handling.

However, Victor faces a greater danger from Jordan Howard and Ian Ward; the two escaped criminals currently hiding in town. They have already caused chaos in the Sharon-Phyllis story arc and may have murdered Heather Stevens. Jordan harbors enough resentment against Victor to try to destroy him.

Whether Victor's actions get avenged by any of the Genoa City residents remains to be seen. Stay tuned to CBS to know what happens to Victor's rivals on The Young and the Restless's upcoming episodes.
