Cameron Mathison's role in General Hospital

Cameron Mathison portrayed the role of Drew Caine. The character debuted on the show in 2014. It was initially played by actor Billy Miller.

When Mathison entered the role he was met with disapproval from the fanbase of the show. The fans disapproved due to the huge difference in Mathison's acting style and the character's traits. As a fan wrote on Reddit:

"Cameron was horribly cast for this role. I think Frank and GH wanted to bag him as a romantic interest for Laura Wright (Carly) and figured they could resurrect Drew for this."

Mathison's role in the iconic daily soap opera is recurring. He is part of various storylines on the show and has also developed a romantic relationship with Carly Corinthos. He has to navigate through various challenges due to Carly's business decisions.

The character's interactions with various residents of Port Charles, such as Sam McCall and Curtis Ashford, contribute to different subplots and alliances, enriching the narrative of the story.

However, Mathison's role as Drew did not appear well for the audience. So, he is shown as a supporting actor, most particularly around the storyline of Carly Spencer.
