General Hospital: Current dynamics hint at a break-up between Sasha and Cody

Fans have seen Sasha Gilmore, played by Sofia Mattsson, take her time to grieve over her dead husband and lost baby. After losing her baby and pulling the plug on the life support of baby Liam Mike Corbin, Sasha fell back into drug addiction. Her situation worsened after the death of her husband, Brando Corbin, leading to her eventual institutionalization.

General Hospital viewers saw how her mother-in-law robbed her while the evil psychiatrist manipulated her, and she was saved by Cody Bell, played by Josh Kelly. After he broke her out of the Ferncliff facility, a level of trust was established between the two. That developed into friendship and soon into romance.

While fans were delighted to see Sasha moving on with Cody and were hoping to see a baby in the romance soon, things took a shocking turn with Holly Sutton's arrival in town. After enquiring about Sasha and Cody's togetherness, Holly landed in the Quartermaine mansion on the episode dated October 16, 2024.

In the following episode, aired on October 17, 2024, a major revelation unfolded- Sasha addressed Holly as her mother, while Holly revealed that Robert Scorpio is Sasha's father. Holly specifically told Sasha that Cody was a cousin and their relationship would be a "disaster." She further urged Sasha to break up with Cody while the daughter accused her mother of pulling another con scheme.

Analyzing Sasha's paternity reveal on General Hospital

As per Holly's declaration about Sasha's parentage, Sasha and Cody would be first cousins, making their romance unnatural, particularly if the romance ends in a pregnancy. By Holly's admission, if Robert is Sasha's father, then Robert is Cody's uncle since paternity tests have proved Cody is Mac's son. This complicates Sasha's romance even further.

However, there are some snags in Holly's claim. For one, fans may remember that when Sasha replaced Cody's first paternity test sample with her own hair, it did not match Mac's sample. If Sasha is Robert's daughter, Mac is her biological uncle, and her hair sample would have shown a match.
