Lucky Spencer recently arrived in Port Charles on the General Hospital storyline to help with Lulu Spencer's liver transplant surgery. While fans were happy to have him back in the show, he was already planning to leave town, as he told his former wife, Elizabeth Webber.
For newly introduced General Hospital viewers, the show is one of the longest-running American soaps airing on ABC since April 1963. At the center of the soap's plot is the titular medical facility located in the fictional Port Charles township. The storyline includes residents of the town, law enforcers, and medical staff.
The long-running storyline often presents characters who move in and out of the plot. Lucky Spencer is one character born to Luke and Laura Spencer as Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr., "Lucky" for short.
Actor Jonathan Jackson, who plays Lucky, has been appearing intermittently on the soap over the years. Since there is no news from the production house of him leaving again, Lucky may not leave anytime soon.

General Hospital: Lucky Spencer informs about leaving
General Hospital spoilers suggest Lucky plans to skip town again as he drops this information bomb on his ex-wife, Elizabeth Webber. Per the promo teaser, the duo is having dinner at Bobbie's Diner, and Elizabeth smiles happily. They talk, and he apologetically tells her he cannot stay back. Elizabeth's smile fades.
While Elizabeth would be sad to let Lucky go, she is likely worried about Aiden. Aiden recently reconnected with his estranged father in a heartfelt reunion where the teenager came out to his father and disclosed his love for cooking. In the episode aired on October 7, 2024, Lucky met Aiden and hugged his son in acceptance.
General Hospital: Will Lucky be gone from Port Charles soon?
As longtime General Hospital fans know, Lucky Spencer has been a recurring face on the soap with long gaps between the appearances. Jonathan Jackson's Lucky left town in 2011 after his son Jake Spencer was presumably killed in a road accident.
While struggling with addiction, Lucky was unable to handle the grief of losing his son and left to find mental peace. However, in the 2015 storyline, Lucky was found kidnapped by Frank Smith. Frank was his father, Luke Spencer's enemy, and wanted to use Lucky to get to Luke.

Lucky collaborated with his parents and law enforcers to bring down Frank and learned that his son, Jake, was alive. He helped bring Jake back home, and the family reunited briefly. However, Lucky found it tough to settle down in Port Charles and left the town again after bidding goodbye to his father and the rest of the family.
The General Hospital plot of August 2024 found Lucky Spencer in a refugee camp and later in the custody of mobster Jenz Sidwell in Africa. As residents of Port Charles looked for a liver donor for a comatose Lulu, her brother, Lucky, was expected to be a match. Anna Devane and Jason Morgan traveled to Africa to get him back.
Since returning to Port Charles, Lucky has been spending time with his loved ones and reconnecting with his mother and sons. While he was frustrated when he was not a match for Lulu Spencer, he has been around his sister at the hospital.
Lucky may have told Elizabeth about his desire to leave, but fans may see him longer in Port Charles. There could be a few reasons for him to stay. Besides taking care of his sister's recuperation when she comes out of the coma, Lucky also holds a grudge against Cyrus Renault. He has yet to meet his criminal uncle, but when he does, there will be unfolding drama in the story arc.
Moreover, his mother may persuade him to stay back. Even though Elizabeth has been a single mother for a long time, she likes Lucky's company, as many scenes in the soap have shown.
There is no official word about his exiting the show. Also, some General Hospital teasers and leaked photos show the duo talking to each other lovingly in a decorated park that could be Christmas decor. As he was shown hoping to get back with Elizabeth when he was imprisoned in Africa, he may not let go of his current opportunity.
Stay tuned to ABC as General Hospital's upcoming episodes reveal whether Lucky and Elizabeth reconcile into a family or Lucky chases unfinished business out of town.
