Molly Lansing-Davis has been having trouble, and mistrust is brewing in her relationship with Kristina Corinthos-Davis. However, recently, she realized that she wanted peace in her life. On the General Hospital episodes dated December 5, 2024, she opened up about her inner thoughts to her mother.

While Molly revealed her guilt and troubled thoughts to her mother, Alexis Davis assured her that she would get her deserved happiness. In the next episode, Alexis made the two sisters promise they wouldn't lose each other. She pointed out that the family lost a lot recently, alluding to baby Irene and Sam McCall's deaths.

While the two sisters agreed to be there for each other, the jury's verdict ruined their mental strength. On one hand, Molly accepted the defeat and wanted to move on, while on the other, Kristina wanted to continue the fight, causing a disagreement.

Kristina Corinthos accused Molly of being a coward to continue fighting for the baby. However, Molly felt unhappy about losing Irene, Sam, and her relationship with TJ. She refused to continue being angry and wanted peace. With this difference of opinion, the two sisters broke their promise of patching up that they had given to Alexis.

General Hospital: What was the cause of the rift between Molly and Kristina?

As mentioned before, Kristina offered to surrogate mother for Molly's baby. However, Kristina's possessiveness towards the baby caused the rift since she planned to keep the baby and had started the legal process for it.

While her mother had drawn up the legal papers for Kristina to officially keep the baby, Alexis Davis was buying time to placate Kristina out of her volatile mental state.

However, the August storyline on General Hospital saw Kristina barging into Ava Jerome's hotel suite, refusing to testify against her father. She further threatened to reveal Ava's role in the deaths of Connie Falconeri and Morgan. In the escalating heated argument, Ava tried to grab Kristina, who stepped away from her.

As Kristina tripped on John Cates's bag, she lost her footing, crashed out of the window, and fell five floors down into the Metro Court pool. The fall harmed her pregnancy, killing the unborn baby. Although equally devastated, Molly was quick to blame Kristina for losing "her" baby.

The mistrust remained despite Alexis trying to bring them together. While both grieved over Sam's death and resolved to patch up, they failed. Molly's broken relationship with TJ added to her sorrows, making her want mental peace at all costs. Kristina, on the other hand, wants to avenge her daughter's death and can not focus on anything else.
