General Hospital spoilers: What is Jason’s new mission?

The September 12 episode of General Hospital was brimming with the various storylines of all the characters. From Brook Lynn to Josslyn, and Tracy to Michael, all the characters have something going on. Mostly, Port Charles is all focused on the aftermath of John "Jagger" Cates' murder.

However, Jason Morgan has his own journey to make. Spoilers for the soap reveal that he is about to undertake a dangerous mission for the Spencer family. Jason has a conversation with Carly, where he warns her not to trust Jack Brennan in their efforts to save Lulu's life and help her break out of the coma.

Carly then counsels Jason, telling him that the only way to save Lulu is to bring Lucky Spencer back home. Currently, the audience knows that Lucky has been kidnapped and held away from Port Charles. It is likely that Jason will jet off to rescue him from this predicament and bring him home to his sister.

What is Jason Morgan's current storyline on General Hospital?

In the current storyline, Jason Morgan is busy being the right-hand man to Sonny Corinthos, as always. Sonny is involved in the murder of Jagger Cates, which only a few of his trusted confidantes know about. Carly helps him come up with an alibi, while Michael keeps the secret to himself.

Then, Sonny also confides in Jason. He asks Jason to dispose of one of his weapons and its casings, which could be traced back to him and make him a suspect. Jason agrees to do so. He narrowly avoids Anna, who comes with a search warrant for Sonny's house.

Jason also speaks to Carly about Sonny and his alibi. After that, Carly decides to go home for a while to stay away from the stress of Sonny's dire situation and focus on her family.

On the other hand, everyone at the hospital is trying to consolidate their efforts to locate Lucky. The event that triggered this search was a sudden change in Lulu's comatose condition. Doctors like Liz realized that she would need a liver transplant soon to help her survive. Lucky would be a perfect match for it, being her brother.

Meanwhile, Lucky is sequestered away from Port Charles in a rather sticky situation. He is imprisoned by Sidwell, and forced to do his bidding under threats. Sidwell even sent one of his agents to wreak havoc at the hospital and ensure no one finds out about Lucky's location.

Carly has now asked Jason to go and look for Lucky, and to bring him home. After warning her to be on guard with who she trusts, Jason decides to take on the mission. It remains to be seen whether Jason will successfully be able to locate Lucky in time to save Lulu's life.
