In the General Hospital episode aired on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the legal battle involving Alexis Davis took a turn as Sonny Corinthos hired Martin Grey as her attorney, who could save her from the charges of murder levied by detective John Jagger Cates. The show has made it obvious that Alexis is innocent but is taking the blame to save her daughter Kristina.
After Alexis' bail was denied, Alexis finally opened up to Martin as she knew that she was covered by the attorney-client privilege.
Alexis Davis has been into multiple troubling storylines including her alcoholism and a near-death experience when Julian Jerome attempted to kill her by pushing her into dangerous situations.
General Hospital: What does Alexis tell Martin?
Alexis first has a heartfelt conversation with cellmate Heather Webber. Following this, Alexis moves to the visiting room and is left shocked to know that Sonny has hired Martin as her attorney.
Martin goes through the transcript of her interview with the Port Charles Police Department, making him question Alexis’ presence of mind. He asks her what she was thinking while answering the questions, to which she replies that all she knew was that she had to save Kristina from a false charge, be it at the cost of her imprisonment.
Looking at the trauma that Kristina has been going through after losing the baby, she might not have been able to handle the charge of murder. Alexis tells him about the gun she got rid of, following which she went to Quartermaine estate to pretend as if she intended to kill Cates.
Martin insists Alexis change her statement, tell the truth to PCPD, and let the law decide. However, Alexis doesn’t seem to agree with her attorney as she has a hunch that Kristina got that gun from Sonny Corinthos, which was actually the murder weapon he used to kill Jagger Cates.
Alexis tells Martin that Kristina will not be able to stand the pressure of this trial, especially for a crime that she didn’t commit. The story quickly takes a turn as Martin suggests another option that will leaves Alexis stunned.
Grey tells her that the only way she and Kristina could get out of trouble is to prove John Cates’ murder was committed “by the man paying my fee.”
As the storyline develops further, the fate of the show’s central characters including Sonny Corinthos, Alexis Davis, and Kristina Davis Corinthos is left hanging, with other characters like Sam McCall, Molly Lansing, and Carly Spencer getting affected.
