Steven Webber is one of the characters on General Hospital, who was introduced on the soap in 1977. He's the son of Jeff Webber and Heather Grant in the storyline. Originally, the character was portrayed by child actors and debuted as an adult by Shaun Benson in 2005, but the most popular actor associated with the role is Scott Reeves.

Steven Webber became a doctor in Port Charles on the soap and worked at the hospital. However, he was arrested for selling harvested organs on the black market. It was later revealed that Johnny Zachara had blackmailed him into doing so.

Scott Reeves recently returned to General Hospital as Steven in October 2024. This appearance was after the character's prolonged absence from the show since 2018. He arrived to oversee his mother Heather's release from Pentonville prison.

Steven Webber was born to Jeff Webber and Heather Grant on General Hospital. He became the subject of drama since his introduction after his mother sold him to Peter and Diana Taylor. She later became obsessed with her child. Steven eventually left Port Charles to be away from Diana and Heather fighting for their claim over him.

The character returned as an adult in 2004, and Heather tried to reach out to him, but he didn't want to associate with the woman who had sold him away at birth. In 2009, he became the chief of staff at the hospital after Monica Quartermaine had selected him for the position. Steven even had a brief relationship with a physician named Lisa Niles, but it fizzled after he found out she had feelings for Patrick Drake.

Soon after, Steven started having feelings for Olivia Falconeri, but it was interrupted by the arrival of his former fiancee Maggie Wurth. She needed a heart transplant to save a life, for which she needed Steven. Under pressure from Johnny Zacchara, Steven started selling harvested organs on the black market.

After this situation, Steven was arrested for his crime, during his marriage ceremony to Olivia, even after she begged the authorities to let the marriage ceremony be completed first. Ironically, it was his mother Heather who secured Steven's release by killing Maggie and making it seem like she was responsible for the crime.

After his release in 2013, Steven didn't feature actively on the soap at all. He was mentioned briefly in 2022 by his mother, though. Heather was arrested for her multiple crimes during the soap.

She was incarcerated at Spring Ridge when Jeff paid her a brief visit. She brought up her son, wondering where he was. In 2024, Elizabeth Webber mentioned that Steven had relocated to Sedona after his release from prison, but she didn't think he would be returning to town.

However, Elizabeth was proved incorrect in October 2024, as Steven returned to oversee Heather's release from prison. It remains to be seen what kind of equation the mother-son duo will share in the long run.
