General Hospital, which premiered on ABC Network in 1963, is one of the longest-running American soap operas. The story is set in Port Charles, New York, and revolves around the daily life and occurrences of its residents, mainly focusing on the Quartermaine, Corinthos, Webber, and Spencer families.

Recently on General Hospital, Dex Heller was stabbed to death. The killer is yet to be discovered. Viewers speculated online whether Sonny killed off Dex's character because he knew Dex had worked alongside Sonny's estranged son Michael Corinthos.

Many fans on the General Hospital fan group on Facebook debated whether Sonny, as Josslyn Jack's stepfather and someone who cares for her, would have killed Dex, her partner. While some suggested Sonny's rival mob boss, Cyrus Renault, might be responsible, most fans defended Sonny. Julie Tyson King shared her thoughts in the comment section of the official General Hospital page.

Fans commented about how Sonny would never betray Josslyn, despite his criminal nature. Most fans suspect the killer to be Cyrus Renault.

The screenshots show how fan support poured in in favor of Sonny. Despite him being a ruthless mob lord, his character has always been extremely loyal and protective towards his loved ones. Josslyn, whom he had known since she was a child, despite not being on the same page as him most of the time, took care of her and would never have hurt her.

A new killer is on the loose on General Hospital, though the identity has not been revealed. Many fans suspect it could be Cyrus Renault, whose character has a dark history. He was responsible for Sam McCall's death by tampering with his IV drip and attempted to make Lulu Spencer's ventilator malfunction, which would have killed her.

Cyrus never thinks twice before killing and as a former underworld leader, he has the resources to destroy lives. Fans believe he is the one behind Dex's tragic death as he views Sonny and his family as his arch rivals. His ultimate aim is to gain complete control over the entirety of Port Charles.

Theories and teasers suggest that he might be behind the recent killings. Only the upcoming episodes of General Hospital will be able to uncover the truth.
