CBS's The Bold and The Beautiful aired first on March 23, 1987, and was created by Lee and William Bell. The show is set in Los Angeles and mainly focuses on the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer families. The January 8 and January 9, 2025, episodes of The Bold and The Beautiful revealed the intensified power struggles between the Forrester and Logan families at Forrester Creations.

Recent episodes showed how Steffy had asked Daphne Rose, a perfumer, to help Forrester Creations with their signature scent. Still, her motives were to make her a spy within the company to relay all the information back to her to help her achieve her goal of regaining control of Forrester Creations.

The January 8 and 9 episodes of The Bold and The Beautiful showed how Carter, who alongside Hope had taken over the company, set the latter up to work towards bringing back the popularity of the HFTF (Hope For The Future) line, which had been declining lately.

Steffy had earlier supported the decision to discontinue the line due to its poor sales. Carter's move helped him outmaneuver Steffy and her plans to take over Forrester Creations, as his plan would only further solidify their position.

Fans of The Bold and The Beautiful took to Facebook to share their opinions about how they felt about Steffy Forrester being outsmarted by Carter despite being a businesswoman herself. One fan called Annita Northern said:

"If Steffy was such a savvy business woman, how could she let Carter outsmart her.."

Fans also added how some felt that Carter destroyed any trust the Forresters had in him, and some also added that they felt Steffy was the one at fault. Fans voiced how they felt Steffy's character was evil, and Carter was right in reinforcing his and Hope's position at Forrester Creations.

Recent storylines on The Bold and The Beautiful

Recent plotlines on The Bold and The Beautiful showed how Steffy planted a mole in Forrester Creations. She asked Daphne Rose to work there with the motive of extracting information for her. Hope Logan revealed to her mother, Brooke Logan, about her growing feelings for Thomas despite being married to Liam.

Liam was shown confronting Hope about her infidelity, while Thomas stressed trying to find a balance between their personal and professional relationships. Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor's love triangle, a major plot in the show, is shown unraveling with Ridge's indecision to choose one of them.

Taylor Hayes confronted Ridge about how he was unable to commit to her despite their intimate relationship. Taylor also confided in her daughter regarding her fears about Brooke jeopardizing her relationship with Ridge. Sheila Carter was seen returning to Los Angeles, while Deacon Sharpe was shown trying to navigate his feelings towards her on The Bold and The Beautiful.
