Nicole Walker's exit and the current plot dynamics on Days of Our Lives
Nicole Walker exited Days of Our Lives with Eric as she left for Paris to raise Jude. Jude's paternity was revealed earlier when EJ was raging at Nicole for concealing her affair with Eric. Even as Nicole told Eric about Jude, EJ threatened to damage both their lives.
Despite the resentment, Nicole separated from EJ and reunited with Eric. They decided to move away as Eric took an overseas job in Paris. The couple were sent off by friends and family after they met everyone at the local Brady Pub.
Marlena raised a glass to the newly reunited couple and gave them some valuable advice for life ahead. She reminded them that they had gone through a lot together but it all worked out in the end. Marlena advised Eric to never forget the good things in his life since he is finally a father and with the woman that he loves.
While Nicole is moving to Paris with Eric and Jude, her daughter Holly is set to remain in Salem. She will finish her high school and live with Maggie at the Kiriakis mansion.
Why was Nicole's story cut down in the soap?
While Nicole received a rather wholesome exit, the actress who plays the character went through a lot during her exit from Days of Our Lives. Arianne Zucker is currently in the middle of a lawsuit against the soap's production house.
She filed the suit in July 2023, alleging harassment and inappropriate behavior on set from one of the show's executives, Albert Alarr. The investigation went on for a while and Alarr retained his position till August. After that, he was fired from Corday Productions.
However, Zucker has claimed to the press via Deadline that her contract negotiations were dropped after she was given an unreasonable deal. She alleges that her contract renewal terms were not open to negotiation, which is why she left the soap.
On the other hand, Robert M. Barta spoke out as Corday's attorney and refuted these claims.
As a result of the dispute between the two parties, Nicole's character arc was shifted towards an exit.
Audiences can watch Days of Our Lives streaming online on Peacock, with new episodes released on weekdays.
