Initially introduced under the name of Kate Howard on General Hospital, it was eventually revealed that Kate was an alter ego from her Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Connie was reintroduced to the show when she reunited with Sonny Corinthos, initially pretending not to know him until he recognized her as Connie Falconeri.
Connie Falconeri died at 41 years of age on General Hospital
Connie Falconeri died at the age of 41 and was 34 years old when she was first introduced on General Hospital. She initially met Sonny under the pretense of using his phone after her car broke down. Sonny proceeded to recognize her as Connie Falconeri, but why she identified as Kate Howard was originally a mystery.
Kate went on to buy a mansion next to Sonny's place and turn it into her vacation residence. Sonny's lawyer, Diane Miller, also revealed to him that Kate had been named one of the "100 Most Powerful Women in America."
Kate's decision to establish a vacation home in Port Charles drew the ire of Sonny's wife, Carly Jacks. She was also intimidated by Sonny after witnessing him physically terrorize Jerry Jacks, making her reluctant to involve herself any further with him.
Kate attended a charity event where Eli Love was performing and felt disoriented thanks to suffering a headache. She took what she believed to be ibuprofen from her boss's jacket, only for it to turn out to be a libido-enhancement pill. Under the influence, she proceeded to make a move on Sonny.
Kate eventually revealed that she moved to Port Charles thanks to having a traffic violation on her record while she lived in the Hamptons. This prior incident resurfaced after she committed another traffic violation in Port Charles by sideswiping a police car and rushing on by.
The prosecutor, Ric Lansing, tried to get revenge on Sonny through Kate, causing him to play hardball. However, he was eventually blackmailed by his brother, Trevor Lansing, into toning down the charges, causing Kate to be sentenced to community service.
Connie met her end on the 2013 run of General Hospital
The discrepancy between Kate Howard and Connie Falconeri became clear after Ewan Keenan examined her due to her blackouts. He formally diagnosed her with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), resulting in Connie and Kate being treated as separate personalities. Connie Falconeri/Kate Howard met her end during the 2013 run of General Hospital.
After the newspaper where Connie was working got a new publisher, Derek Wells, she was pressured into writing a sensational story to boost sales. She ended up overhearing a conversation between Sonny and Morgan where it was revealed that Kiki Jerome was not actually part of the Quartermaine family.
Connie consulted Sonny about the ethics of publishing the story, and he warned her against it, as doing so would betray Morgan's trust and confidence. However, under pressure from Derek, Connie ended up running the story anyway.
This infuriated Sonny and AJ Quartermaine, who lost control of ELQ to Tracy because of the scandal. Connie also discovered that Derek had been colluding with Ava Jerome on some kind of scheme. AJ Quartermained, while drunk, confronted Connie in her office.
Later, Connie was found by Sonny, having been shot dead. She wrote the letters "AJ" with her blood, which was later revealed in 2014 to stand for "Ava Jerome."
