Born Deborah Jo Hunter in Fort Worth, Texas, to Morris and Joanne Hunter, she was later known as Deborah Morehart after marrying Tom Morehart.
She was credited under this name in early projects like The Initiation. The couple had a son, Christopher, before divorcing in 1984.
In 1987, she married All My Children co-star Michael Tylo, which led to her dismissal from the show. She then adopted the name Hunter Tylo for her acting career.
They went on to have three children before divorcing in 2005. Tragically, their son Michael Jr. passed away in a drowning accident.
She married a third time in November 2009. However, her third husband, Gersson Archila was known to have a dubious past.
Following charges of spousal abuse, theft and drug, the marriage was legally annulled after nine years.
Tylo's Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful
Taylor Hayes started as the psychologist who counselled Caroline when she was diagnosed with cancer. After her death, she fell for Caroline's husband, Ridge Forrester, and they married. They had three children from the union. However, as Tylo moved in and out of the show, Taylor was presumed dead multiple times.
In two of Tylo's prolonged absences from The Bold and the Beautiful, the storyline showed Taylor put up at Moroccan Prince Omar's palace. She was resurrected from the Moroccan stay story arc when Tylo rejoined the soap.

As per the storyline, when Taylor died after being shot by Sheila, her husband remarried his longtime girlfriend, Brooke. After Taylor's return, the tug-of-war between her and Brooke over Ridge made up one of the main attractions of the soap.
Taylor was also shown with other men in the soap such as Eric, Thorne, Nick and Whip. Her character moved from a well-balanced doctor to an irate wife, to an alcoholic mother. Tylo's performances in many of the controversial story arcs were widely lauded.
One mention is her portrayal of traumatic distress after learning that she delivered Brooke's biological baby. Through all ups and downs, Tylo's Taylor was a supportive mother to her children, Thomas and Steffy.
Taylor left LA for Paris to settle down with Thorne. However, they separated and she came back to stay with her daughter Steffy and her grandchild. After causing some disruption in the lives of the LA residents, she again went abroad to get involved with missionary work. Tylo left the soap with this story arc, vacating the role for Krista Allen to take over.
