Sam learned the truth about her parentage and tried to build a relationship with Alexis. But she still wasn't aware of who her father was.
Sam figured out that Julian was her father while searching for a donor for her son, who needed a bone marrow transplant. Though Sam tried to build a relationship with him, she disowned him when she learned about his intentions to murder her mother.
Birth of Lucas
Julian had a three-year-long relationship with Cherlyn in graduate school and was in love with her. This relationship resulted in the birth of Lucas in 1987. Julian broke the relationship off as his father forced him to, though he wanted to marry Cherlyn.
