Gregory Harrison exited General Hospital on May 21, 2024, as his character Gregory Chase died leaving other characters and the viewers sad. "I was just so scared of it...because I do theatre and I do huge, you know, huge plays and chunks of dialogues but here you got four weeks to rehearse that stuff and learn it and to do this every day."
However, he felt unhappy about the sudden closing of the romantic story arc that was developing between his character and Tracy from the show. He said:
"If there's anything I regret about them killing me off as fast as they did is that there was this relationship growing between Gregory and Tracy..."

Gregory Harrison further praised co-actor Jane Eliot, who plays Tracy in General Hospital. According to him, Eliot was a "force of nature" and an amazing person to work with. He looked forward to their scenes together and found just six months of flirtatious relationship too short. He also said that he was always ready to work with her on anything.
