ABC's General Hospital is one of the longest-running soap operas in America. The show has won numerous prestigious Daytime Emmy Awards for its compelling storyline and intriguing character arcs. The overarching themes include romance, heartbreak, family feuds, and drama between the residents of Port Charles.

Elizabeth Webber and Lucky Spencer are one of the show's most beloved couples. Their dynamic is based on their emotional connection, depth, and empathy towards each other.

Recent General Hospital episodes showed their reunion after almost a decade. Elizabeth and Lucky have been figuring out their life together, incorporating co-parenting their kids and focusing on their emotional relationship. The couple first met in 1997 and eventually became partners. They got married in 2005, started co-parenting their kids, and divorced twice in 2007 until Lucky left Port Charles for Africa.

In late October 2024, the storyline brought back Lucky which garnered a lot of positive reactions from fans. Fans supported their decision to co-parent their son Aiden together and look after Cameron. The December 18, 2024, episode showed them all reuniting to spend Christmas together.

Their evolving relationship added many layers to their deep history and fans took to Facebook to share their thoughts. One fan wrote,

Fans of General Hospital shared their thoughts on the family getting together for the holidays after their tumultuous past. Lucky's return to Port Charles, after being held captive in Somalia, caused Elizabeth to open up to him about how hard it had been for her to raise their family alone for almost a decade. Lucky took accountability for his actions and was shown to pledge to do his best in helping and rebuilding their relationship.

Their romantic history is a complicated one with multiple instances of growing distant from each other. The couple got married in 2005 and later decided to part ways. They had always put their sons first and had dedicatedly co-parented their three sons Cameron, Jake, and Aiden.

General Hospital fans were moved by the December 18 episode when the couple was shown spending time with their sons together for the Christmas holidays.
