The Bold and the Beautiful storyline recently landed another major twist, with the Foresters losing their family business to a coup. While this is not the first time Eric has lost control of his company, being back-stabbed by a longtime employee is a first for him. To add to the problem, the Forresters and the Logans seem to be nearing a major fallout with a ripple effect.
The Bold and the Beautiful, a long-running CBS daily soap, has presented conflicting situations since its premiere in March 1987. The soap's storyline which pivots on the Forresters' business and personal interactions, has introduced twists that lead to fan discussions and debates.
The current scenario has prompted fans to debate about the two sides of the feud. One fan going by the name of Melanie T Lor posted her opinion on the show's Facebook fan page. Melanie commented:
"The Forresters losing the company really doesn't seem enough on pay back for Ridge & Steffie's behavior. Ridge is a creep & using pathetic Taylor. I'm team logan this time."
Many fans have agreed with Melanie's comment, choosing to be part of Team Logan while some announced changing sides to back the Logans.
Many fans have expressed dislike for Ridge, urging Brooke to dump him. Some fans pointed out Ridge's wrongdoing.
However, others feel Carter was wrong, and he and Hope should have moved away.
The Bold and the Beautiful: How were Ridge and Steffy wrong?
The Bold and the Beautiful fans already know about Steffy Forrester's longstanding rivalry with Hope Logan. To add to their problems, she fired Hope when she found the latter in a questionable position near her husband. Moreover, she refused to believe Hope's side of the story or listen to any suggestion from Carter Walton or Eric Forrester.
Steffy had her father, Ridge Forrester, backing her decision. When she called Hope names, Ridge did not stop her. After a frustrated Carter planned a coup on the company with Hope, Ridge jumped to the conclusion that Hope was behind the betrayal. Just like his daughter, he assumed Hope had gotten her claws into Carter and made him backstab his employers.
Despite mother Brooke Logan trying to defend Hope, the fired employee found herself being called disgraceful names by both Ridge and Steffy. Ridge did not hesitate to use obnoxious words to describe his stepdaughter, which hurt Brooke, who stood up for her daughter's dignity.
Since Hope's dismissal was in an unfair and personal context, Steffy's rigid stand was wrong. However, Hope urging company COO Carter Walton to trick the company out from the Forresters was equally wrong. As such, the soap's fans find themselves on two opposing courts.
What is the likely Forrester-Logan story arc henceforth?
Brooke Logan has accepted the CEO's position at Forrester Creations after Eric, Ridge and Steffy Forrester quit the company. While Ridge was expecting the company to crumble without them, Brooke's decision shook him. In frustration, the despondent Ridge landed in the arms of his former wife, Taylor Hayes.
Brooke had planned to take over the powerful position of the CEO of the company to push Carter to draw out fresh LLC papers. Her initial plan was to officially and legally hand over the company to Ridge Forrester while ensuring the company stays afloat in the meantime.
