General Hospital is one of the longest-running American daytime television soap operas, premiering on April 1, 1963, on the ABC television network. The show continues to keep audiences on edge through its dynamic storylines, plot twists, and characters.
Fans of the soap opera have been in haste since Kelly Monaco's exit. Monaco portrayed the character of Sam on the show. Now, there is high speculation that Sam might be killed off on the show. However, there is no official statement from the makers or the actors.

Why will Kelly have to exit General Hospital?
Kelly Monaco debuted as Sam McCall on General Hospital in 2003. However, apart from her, Lindsay Hartley also portrayed the character occasionally.
On the show, Kristina fell into the Metro Court pool and lost the child of TJ and Molly, for whom she was a surrogate. She wants to seek revenge on Ava since the incident took place when she was having a serious discussion with her.
Kristina, who is furious, seeks Sonny's help, but he refuses and requests that she stay calm. She robs a gun from Sonny, unaware of the fact that the same gun was used by the latter to shoot John dead.
After that, Alexis, who has been on the edge with her concerns for her daughter Kristina, finds the gun and thinks Kristina got it to harm herself. Without a thought, she decides to throw away the gun. While she tries to do so, she gets caught red-handed, leading to her being a key suspect in John's murder case.
On the other hand, Sam cannot stay calm since she knows Sonny killed John and will have to save her innocent mother. Furthermore, Sam will have to confront Sonny to accept his crime or find a way to get her mother released.
This might lead to her being written off from the show, thus marking the exit of Kelly Monaco as Sam.
However, according to an article published by Soaps on September 24, 2024, fans signed a petition to bring Kelly Monaco back as Sam on General Hospital.
