As mentioned before, after her accident, Sarah Horton was partially paralyzed. Upon slight recovery, she was sent home under Xander's loving care. Her mother-in-law, Fiona, also showed love towards her, even though she caused the accident and let Brady Black take the fall.

However, in the Days of Our Lives episode dated September 5, 2024, Sarah had recalled glimpses from the accident. She blurted out to Xander about remembering the driver not being Brady. Fiona looked upset with the news.

A scared Fiona forbade Xander from pressurizing Sarah to remember the actual perpetrator in the next episode dated September 6, 2024. She sent Xander away to get soup for Sarah while pretending to make her daughter-in-law comfortable by humming songs and stroking her hair. However, the next moment she was seen asking God for forgiveness while bringing a pillow close to Sarah's face.

By the looks of it, Fiona was contemplating smothering Sarah before she remembered the culprit's identity. While in the episode she was not shown killing her daughter-in-law, she is likely to take action soon, particularly as Sarah is slated for hypnosis therapy with Marlena.

Analyzing Fiona's actions on Days of Our Lives

Fiona arrived on Days of Our Lives when Sarah invited her to her and Xander's wedding. Upon arrival, Fiona revealed Xander to be the late Victor Kiriakis' heir. However, she teamed up with Brady Black in a drinking spree, leading to intimacy between the two. The drunk duo got into a car accident where Sarah was the victim. A drunk Fiona was driving while Brady was in a drunken stupor.

Initially fleeing the crime scene, Fiona later pretended to be distressed about Sarah's condition. Moreover, she remained quiet when Brady was arrested for the crime and he confessed to being the culprit.

However, with the dread over Sarah's returning memories of the fateful night, Fiona needed to silence her. As mentioned before, she has recently been united with her estranged son and has access to her granddaughter. Also, she has found acceptance with Maggie, Marlena, and others in Salem. Moreover, she had kept her alcoholism a secret from Xander. She would not want to give up on all this.

Currently, things may not look very promising for Fiona. On one hand, Sarah seemed to be on the path of recollecting her memories. On the other hand, Justin managed to take Brady home since there was no evidence against him. If Marlena's hypnosis worked, Sarah could expose Fiona.

As such, Fiona would likely take quick action to suppress all evidence against her. Her best bet would be to kill Sarah and then look to muzzling Brady. Look out for the unfolding drama as Sarah becomes a victim of Fiona's murderous intentions on Days of Our Lives.
