Dr. John Finn Finnegan of The Bold and the Beautiful has long been one of the dependable and steady characters of the show. He has been loyal to his wife, Steffy Forrester, and his adoptive mother, Li. He minds his business and rarely interferes in his wife's family business. However, he recently took a stand in favor of his wife's bold decision to fire her half-sister and longtime rival, Hope Logan.

The Bold and the Beautiful fans know the soap has been presenting difficult twists in the storyline since it premiered in March 1987. The long-running American daily soap's plot revolves around the Forrester family and their haute couture business. It extends to include their associations and rivalries with the Logan family and the Spencer family.

Steffy Forrester is the CEO of Forrester Creations, while Hope Logan was a designer for the company. Steffy presumed Hope was trying to seduce her husband, Finn. This, coupled with Hope's design line doing bad business, she fired Hope.

Despite being aware that the situation was a misunderstanding, he justified his wife when Deacon asked him to help rehire Hope. Finn supporting Steffy's decision has disappointed fans. One fan, who identifies as Ann Smith, commented:

"I think Finn is showing his true colours finally. Mr nice guy is a spineless hero."

She was replying to an episode recap posted on a Facebook community page that goes by the name The Bold and the Beautiful Worldwide - Voice of Fans.

Other fans called him Steffy's puppet and her "yes-man." A few viewers thought Finn knew the reality but wanted attention. Yet others questioned his presence at the Forrester Creations' office.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Finn's story arc leads to fans' negative reaction

On The Bold and the Beautiful episode dated November 14, 2024, Finn Finnegan went to meet Deacon Sharpe at Il Giardino. Deacon wanted to talk about the unjust way Steffy fired Hope and wanted Finn to talk his wife into rehiring. Deacon mentioned Brooke as the source of information.

When Finn commented that Brooke was not objective, Deacon pointed out that Steffy had a long-lasting vendetta against her half-sister. However, when Deacon asked him to talk to Steffy Forrester about this, Finn baulked at the suggestion of supporting Hope over Steffy. He further emphasized the situation Steffy caught them in to fire Hope.

He specifically mentioned Hope being dressed in lingerie and coming on top of him. While Deacon insisted that she tripped, the doctor believed Hope was out to seduce him as she had done before. While Finn suggested that Hope Logan go for professional help before becoming her own enemy, he stood his ground about Steffy's decision, saying it wasn't her fault.

What got fans upset was that Tanner Novlan's Finn Finnegan had entered the design office without Hope knowing. He must have known Hope tripped and did not deliberately fall. He also must know that Hope had not dressed in the lingerie for him since she didn't know he would come by. Despite all this, he believes Hope tried to seduce him, and Steffy was right at misunderstanding the scene.

The Bold and the Beautiful: What are the latest plot dynamics for Hope Logan?

Hope Logan had planted a kiss on Finn a few weeks ago, which irked her longtime rival, Steffy. However, Hope backtracked and apologized. She has recently found love in the company's COO, Carter Walton, and the two tried to keep their office romance a secret.

While Hope's design line was failing, Carter tried to support her and spoke in her favor to the management team. As Hope was dressing up in lingerie in the design office waiting for Carter, Finn walked in. A startled Hope tripped and fell on Finn, who, in turn, was pinned to the design table. Steffy walked into the office on the awkward scene and presumed Hope was at fault.

Already upset over Hope's designs bringing loss to the company, the CEO promptly fired her half-sister. She also got support from her co-CEO and father, Ridge Forrester. Hope chose not to explain her office romance in her justification and walked away.

While Carter was furious with the new scenario, he promised to avenge his newly acquired girlfriend. How the B&B lawyer-cum-finance person brings the company to its knees remains to be seen.

Stay tuned to CBS every weekday to catch the unfolding drama of the Steffy-Hope feud with Carter joining the fight in the upcoming episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful.
