Ron Hale, known for his role as Mike Corbin in General Hospital and Roger Coleridge in Ryan’s Hope, died on August 27, 2024, at the age of 78. Hale lived in St. George, South Carolina during the final years of his life, and a funeral home from the place confirmed his death. No official reason for his death has been shared.

Mike Corbin first appeared on General Hospital in 1995, when he returned to his son Sonny Corinthos' life after leaving him years before. Their relationship was tense due to Mike's previous gambling habit and his absence. Still, they eventually made up, following which Mike settled in Port Charles, running Kelly's Diner and becoming close to Sonny and his grandkids.

After Hale left the show in 2010, Mike's storyline took a heart-wrenching turn when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The character was later portrayed by a different actor and eventually passed away on September 17, 2020.
