General Hospital won the Best Daytime Drama Series Award at the 51st Daytime Emmys on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Created by duo Frank and Doris Hursley, General Hospital's win at the 51st Daytime Emmys reflects its top-notch quality and the cast and staff's commitment to their work. Winning four major awards, General Hospital also took home awards for Best Supporting Actor, Best Writing Team, and Best Directing Team.

Robert Gossett took home the award for Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series for his role as Marshall Ashford. Both the writing team and the directing team each received awards for their contribution to the daytime drama series.

General Hospital captivates viewers with its intricate plots, well-rounded characters, and relevant topics. Along with addressing civil rights issues, such as voter suppression with the Corinthos family, the show hasn't held back when depicting Carly's journey through addiction.
