He wrote that he prepared for the climb for nine months and tried it on February 7 last year (2023).
He said that he did not get the chance to climb anywhere for several months due to hot weather alongside "changes in work life flexibility." He continued:
"I realize now the great luxury I had in being able to climb so often. I miss it. I miss the people. I miss the nature. I miss exerting incredible effort and falling over and over again until my fingers bleed and knuckles are swollen and my forearms are so pumped that even the slightest hand contraction feels impossible."
Johnny Wactor also wrote that he missed moments when people cheered for him while climbing. He mentioned that he misses the scene of blooming flowers accompanied by the silence.
"I miss screaming as I take a massive whip. I miss screaming as I send a months long project. I miss waking up feeling like I got the sh*t kicked out of me from trying so hard. I miss kicking toddlers off the top of mountains. Just kidding. Just seeing if you're still reading."

The Daily Mail states that Johnny Wactor was accompanied by a female co-worker from a rooftop bar on West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street when he was shot dead by a group of three men. The suspects reportedly ran away from the spot in another vehicle.
While an investigation has been launched by the Los Angeles Police Department, the identities of the suspects remain unknown. Johnny's brother Grant revealed to Daily Mail that the bullet hit his chest, and he was walking towards his car with his colleague as they parked it two blocks away from the bar.
Johnny Wactor spent most of his childhood in South Carolina and developed an interest in acting at a young age. He appeared in theater at school and attended the College of Charleston.
