General Hospital fans have been reeling from the sudden death of Dex Heller, who was a part of the Port Charles police department. In the recent episode, the case was taken on by Anna Devane, who was probing into Dex's death, attempting to find out if it was a one-off incident caused by a natural reaction, or if something more sinister was at play.
While probing, the case took a toll on Anna, especially since she was also on the hunt for Valentin Cassadine and his daughter Charlotte. What is Anna Devane going through on General Hospital?
Anna Devane, a part of the police department in Port Charles, is currently working on several cases. The two most prominent ones include her investigation into former officer Dex Heller's death and any leads she might find on Valentin Cassadine and his daughter Charlotte.
During the episode on December 17, Laura Collins admitted that she had been putting her share of pressure on Anna because she was desperate to find Charlotte. Attorney Martin Grey suggested using one of his former contacts to try and zero in on Valentin, but Laura said that she trusted Anna with the investigation.
Meanwhile, Anna requested Jason to come to her office and asked him for a favor. She admitted that she wanted to focus on Dex's case and that she would be giving him the lead on Valentin's case. The two had a conversation about Dex dying because he was stabbed in the line of duty, exactly as his partner Josslyn feared.
Jason comforted Anna by telling her that none of it was her fault and that the choice to join the police force was always something that Dex took on voluntarily. Even though he comforted her before he left, the audience saw Anna in tears when Jason left her office. Trying to control herself, she went right back to work on the Rice Plaza surveillance footage.
