Steffy Forrester, played by Jacqueline McInnes Wood, is central to The Bold and the Beautiful. Born to Taylor Hayes and Ridge Forrester in September 1999, Steffy is one-half of the twins borne by Taylor. Her twin Phoebe died as a teenager. Steffy was named after her grandmother, Stephanie, and shares the older relative's temperament.
As a recap for newly introduced fans, The Bold and the Beautiful is one of the long-running American daily soaps that premiered in March 1987. Since its inception, the CBS soap's storyline has centered on the Forrester family's fashion company, along with their associations and rivalries with others such as the Logans and the Spencers.
Steffy Forrester and Hope Logan have a long history of feuds over their romantic interests. However, fans are divided over taking sides between the two, with many fans disliking Steffy's behavior towards Hope. One fan going by the name Anna Cecelia stated,
"Well she is 100% hateful."
Anna disagreed with a Facebook post by another viewer, Ruby Rose, on the The Bold and the Beautiful fan page. Ruby believes Steffy was a productive family member and did not deserve the fan hate.
Many netizens have questioned Ruby's comment commending Steffy's productivity.
Many others expressed their disapproval of Steffy's character, calling her "not a good boss." They pointed out her bad workplace behavior.
Some other fans called the character a "narcissist" and a "bully with a power complex."
However, a few supported Ruby Rose's original comment, emphasizing their dislike for Hope.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Current dynamics earned Steffy fan wrath
Steffy Forrester and Hope Logan have been longtime rivals. In the past, both were romantically related to Liam Spencer, which fueled their feud, and they were married to him at different times. While Hope later married Steffy's brother, Thomas, Steffy bad-mouthed her sister-in-law.
Currently, Steffy is the CEO of Forrester Creations, and Hope worked as a designer there until recently. As Thomas was getting ready to marry Paris Buckingham, a lonely and drunk Hope kissed Steffy's husband, Finn Finnegan. Although Hope apologized for her slipup, Steffy never forgave her.
Hope moved on to start a romantic liaison with COO Carter Walton. While they tried to keep their office romance a secret, Carter started to back Hope's loss-making design line, Hope for the Future. This surprised Steffy, who had been rooting to close the line.
In an unfortunate incident, Hope waited for Carter in the design office dressed in lingerie when Finn arrived unannounced. A surprised Hope tripped and fell onto Finn and Steffy entered the scene, presuming Hope was trying to seduce her husband. Steffy immediately fired Hope.
Despite Eric Forrester, Zende Forrester, and Carter Walton trying to change Steffy's mind, the CEO remained rigid, while co-CEO Ridge Forrester backed her decision. The father-daughter duo did not budge from their resolve, even when Hope's mother, Brooke, informed them about Hope and Carter's love affair.
What will be Steffy's future story arc?
Steffy's rash decision has caused a furore in Forrester Creations. First, an insulted Carter planned to take over the company by signing his name as the manager on the company's LLC documents. Carter Walton and Ridge Forrester had an argument where Ridge accused Hope of all the chaos.
While Ridge offers to forgive Carter's betrayal if he breaks up with Hope, Carter chooses to prioritize his romance over his job. As a result, Ridge fired Carter, and the company lost an efficient financial head.
If the LLC papers come into action, Carter Walton would become the CEO of Forrester Creations and likely fire Steffy. He would bring in Hope, while Steffy would be plotting her revenge to reclaim the family business.
