The Young and the Restless fans have expressed their frustration in recent weeks regarding the storyline with Sharon. The length of time her captivity has dragged on, with repeated moments of helplessness, has left viewers questioning the writing of the show.

With Sharon remaining trapped in the underground sewer, relying on others to rescue her, viewers feel that the story has gone too far beyond their ability to accept or be invested in it.

Some of the comments indicated how Sharon has always been shown as a damsel in distress, which made some people question why the show didn't let her take more active actions.

Other fans were evidently joking about the more overt holes in the logic of the plot. Some pointed out that survival elements such as food, water, or even hygiene were simply not addressed for dramatic monologues and suspense.

But not everyone was entirely vocally negative. They enjoyed the depth of emotions and the acting possibilities it offered to Sharon Case, probably thinking that this storyline might make her even become critical of one's work.

Recent Developments involving Sharon on The Young and The Restless

In the current storyline of The Young and the Restless, Sharon Newman is stuck in a sewer after trying to escape from Jordan's captivity. After facing some very brutal conditions that declined her health to a certain level. Nick Newman, Chance Chancellor, and Adam Newman are all on a mission to search and rescue her.

In the December 30 episode of The Young and the Restless, Sharon was abducted by Jordan Howard, who used chloroform to render her unconscious and then transported her to a motel room where Sharon was held captive until she tried to escape this week.

Currently, Sharon's kidnapping is affecting the Newman family deeply. Victor and Adam Newman are trying to destroy the plans of Ian Ward, which adds layers of tension and intrigue to the narrative. The ripple effect from Sharon's abduction is impacting the entire Newman family deeply, trying their resilience and unity.
