“So sad to see you go”— Fans emotional as General Hospital fame Adam J. Harrington announces his exit

On September 2, 2024, Adam John Harrington, known to play John “Jagger” Cates on General Hospital, announced his exit from the show. The actor mentioned his gratitude towards the makers, his colleagues, and fans, thanking them for his time as Jagger.

“To @valentinifrank, producers and writers. Thank you for the SHOT at joining your world. I loved it. To the phenomenal cast and crew. It was a honor to witness the CALIBER of your work,” he tweeted.

Adam John Harrington first appeared as Jagger on the daytime show on February 2, 2024, when the character returned to Port Charles from Sam Fransisco after his son was diagnosed with autism.

However, the character's return to General Hospital was limited as he was shot by Sonny Corinthos (played by Maurice Benard), marking the exit of Jagger Cates from the show on August 30, 2024.

Adam's tweet about his exit soon gathered emotional comments from fans who were sad to see the actor leaving the show.

“So sad to see you go. I thought you were amazing,” commented a fan on the post.

Some fans are saying that the decisions made by the makers of General Hospital to remove the deserving characters from the cast upsets viewers. One example is the exit of the long-running character Sam McCall, played by Kelly Monaco.
