Laneya Grace is set to make her debut on The Bold and the Beautiful as Electra Forrester, the newest member of the Forrester family. In an interview with TV Insider published on October 10, 2024, Grace talked about her journey to get the role.
While studying at the University of Houston, Grace went through a hectic audition process that eventually brought her to Los Angeles.
“The audition process was a little bit crazy for me… not even a week later, I got the call saying, ‘Hey, you got the role,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, this is insane,’” she said.
In the interview, Grace talked about her experience in modeling and acting. She started modeling when she was young and later moved to acting after being asked to be in Avicii’s music video for Wake Me Up when she was 9.
“My dad and I had a talk and he said, ‘Is this something you want to do?’ and I said, ‘Yes, please. This is great,’” said Grace.
Grace talked about her first day on the The Bold and the Beautiful set, saying it was a mix of excitement and nervousness. She was thankful for the friendly welcome from the cast and crew, and she mentioned how supportive everyone was. She also thanked Ashleigh Brewer, saying,
“She is the sweetest person I’ve ever met. She’s like a real-life aunt to me now.”
