Bill, Poppy, and Luna go out for a meal at Il Giardino, and Bill and Poppy discuss how they found their way back to each other after nearly two decades. They share jokes with Luna, and Bill is very endearing of his newfound daughter. The three appreciate the fact that they're finally together as a family.

Luna mentions how she finally feels at peace with her identity and birth. Poppy gets emotional over her daughter's statement and expresses that she should have told Bill earlier but just didn't have the courage. Bill assuages her concern by saying that they should only look forward to their future as a family, not rue the past.

Happily, the three talk about sharing holidays and making more concrete memories in the future. They take their first family selfie as well, commemorating a wholesome moment.

Parallely, Tom and Shiela have a conversation in the Il Giardino kitchens. Shiela appreciates him for saving her life, and Tom says he's really glad he did. He also assures her that he is here to do a job and not step on her toes. Tom asks her for a second chance, an opportunity to finally prove himself.

After Shiela leaves, Tom looks out at the Spencer family (Bill, Poppy, and Luna) at their table and asks Deacon who they are. He explains that Bill just found out that Luna was his daughter, and welcomed her into the family. Tom gasps visibly at this, and seems very concerned about the situation from that moment on.

A surprise unravels for Hope at Forrester

At Forrester, Hope happily smiles at her son Douglas and at Thomas, too. Douglas tells her that they came straight from the airport because he couldn't wait to see his mother. An emotional Hope tells Douglas how much she missed him, and adds to Thomas that he was missed as well. Thomas replies the same for her as Douglas goes off to get himself a snack.

Hope and Thomas converse a little about how they miss seeing each other, and Thomas asks if Hope understands why he left. She answers by saying that she was left very confused and hadn't been herself, but she is sure things will improve, now that Thomas and Douglas are back.

They share a hug, and Hope tells Thomas she never meant to hurt him. He reminds her that she rejected him twice, and that he was hurt by it in the past. Hope tries to explain to him how things had been confusing after her divorce and the prospect of such a quick marriage after it, but she didn't want to lose Thomas.

Just then, Douglas reappears with Paris in tow, much to Hope's surprise. Thomas tells her that he and Paris are engaged and will soon be married. The episode ends with the horror clearly seen on Hope's face.
