Victor’s strategic moves and family tensions on The Young and the Restless

In The Young and the Restless season 51 episode 174, Victor Newman's business moves catch his family off guard. Hanging out at the Newman ranch, Victor shares that he wants Adam to take over Newman Media, which doesn't sit well with Adam and Nick. They've been getting along great, so they're not sure why Victor's throwing this curveball. Adam's feeling a bit left out and worried that this shakeup could mess with the company's vibe.

Nick backs up his brother but also gives Victor a heads up that this sudden change could drive a wedge between them all. When Nikki finds out about Victor's plan, she gets pretty mad. She thinks he is just trying to get back at her for picking Jack Abbott as her sponsor. So, she goes up to Victor and straight up asks him if he is punishing her for her choices.

Then on The Young and the Restless, Victor says that he is just doing what he thinks is best for the company. Not convinced with his reply, Nikki gets worried that all this change would just cause a big mess in both their family and business.

While hanging out, Michael Baldwin (Victor's lawyer), and Cole Howard chat about what Victor is up to. Michael thinks there might be more to Victor's plans. He cautions Cole to be careful getting involved in Victor's schemes, mentioning that Victor's request to get closer to Kyle Abbott could be a part of a bigger move.
