Phyllis Summers of The Young and the Restless is determined to expose Sharon Newman as the killer of Heather Stevens. While Sharon is busy keeping her involvement with Heather's death under wraps, the audience believes Sharon is likely not the killer due to her blackout at the time Heather died.

In a recent episode, Sharon was seen looking for her phone at the time when Phyllis was receiving messages from Sharon's phone. Since Sharon was not sending the messages, there's involvement of a third person. The plot seems geared towards revealing Heather's real killer, with an unknown person sending messages from a lost phone.

As a quick recap for the newly introduced viewers, The Young and the Restless is one of the longest-running American daily soaps airing on CBS since March 1973. The storyline revolves around the relationship dynamics between the residents of the fictional Genoa City. The plot includes some influential families who share business associations and rivalries while the family members interact and feud with each other.

Phyllis Summers and Sharon Collins-Newman share a long-standing rivalry due to their marriages with the same man, Nick Newman, in the past. As such, Phyllis's suspicion about Sharon is being dismissed by others as jealousy.

The Young and the Restless: Phyllis received messages from Sharon's phone

The Young and the Restless episode dated November 12, 2024, found Sharon Newman breaking into Phyllis's suite at The Club. This was in the wake of Phyllis Summers claiming to have incriminating evidence against Sharon in the previous episode. While Sharon dismissed Phyllis's claim, she arrived at the latter's residence to look for the evidence.

Phyllis caught Sharon red-handed searching her room and emphasized her opinion about Sharon being the murderer. However, Sharon passed out as Phyllis called the cops and Chance arrived. Since Chance Chancellor let Sharon walk away, an agitated Phyllis became desperate to corner Sharon.

However, on The Young and the Restless episode that aired on November 13, 2024, Phyllis received a message from Sharon's phone promising to tell the truth. The message urged Phyllis to come to Sharon's house to make a deal. Phyllis left for Sharon's home, lying to her son, Daniel Romalotti, that the number was wrong.

At around the same time, Sharon and her daughter, Faith Newman, were discussing Phyllis's actions when Sharon realized she lost her phone. After asking Faith about its whereabouts, Sharon assumed she might have left the device at home. As such, she drove towards her home but was briefly blinded by reflecting headlights from her rearview mirror.

Phyllis, who was driving her car got distracted when a series of messages from Sharon's phone kept arriving on her phone. Unable to keep her cool, Phyllis picked up her phone but looked up to see a car deviating into her lane. A blare of horns and a crash indicated a car crash.

The Young and the Restless: Who might have sent the messages to Phyllis?

As the November 13, 2024 episode showed, Phyllis Summers was receiving messages from Sharon's phone and assumed Sharon was communicating with her. Desperate to get a confession from the latter, Phyllis rushed to Sharon's home. On the other hand, Sharon lost her phone and was seen looking for it. She left for her home hoping the device was there.

At this turn in the storyline, it is safe to conclude that a third person has Sharon's phone and is sending messages to Phyllis to draw her out. As such, it is someone who knows the equation between Phyllis and Sharon and wants to exploit the enmity. While it is too soon for a surmise, whoever is playing the two women up may be the real killer.

If Phyllis gets into an accident with grave injuries and Sharon is blamed for it, both women will likely stay put for some time. The events point to someone who would benefit from killing Heather and taking Phyllis and Sharon out of the way. It also points at someone who knows the truth, suggesting the real killer.

The Young and the Restless audience is still unsure about Sharon murdering Heather as she had fainted at the exact moment and woke up to find Heather dead. While this suggests another person's involvement in the crime, the identity of the killer is as yet unknown.

If Daniel's arrest is added to the current scenario involving Phyllis and Sharon's accident, Lucy would be all alone. The only person who would want Lucy alone is possibly her biological mother, Daisy Carter. She had fought for Lucy's sole custody years ago and may get back in town to try underhand methods to get to her daughter.

Stay tuned to CBS every weekday to know who sent messages to Phyllis and find out the identity of the real murderer on the upcoming episodes of The Young and the Restless.
