The Young and the Restless: Chance lays his hands on vital evidence
Fans of The Young and the Restless have been worried about Daniel Romalotti after Sharon's evil move of planting incriminating evidence in Daniel's cupboard. Despite suffering from bipolar disorder, Sharon has been going to great lengths to cover her tracks.
She was seen cleaning out the scene of the crime, covering up Heather's body in a blanket and dumping it in the river.
Moreover, she sent Daniel messages from Heather's phone hinting at Heather leaving the city. She even switched off the tracker on Heather's phone, and pretended to have set a new alarm tone when Heather's phone rang in front of her family.
However, her move of throwing suspicion away from her and on Daniel was a dark move of a proper villain.

He will likely consider either Daniel or Lucy as suspects.
However, viewers know Heather's killer could be anybody, and the evidence in Daniel's home was planted proof to frame him. As such, if Daniel is arrested, he might be the wrong suspect.
What is the significance of Sharon's move?
The Young and the Restless audience saw Sharon pack Heather's body and cover her tracks. Sharon's moves including messaging from Heather's phone and planting evidence in Daniel's home have been a mark of an evil mind. In the past, Sheila Carter was another character who had been a thorough villain on the soap.
However, Sharon, played by Sharon Case, may still enjoy the benefit of the doubt because of her blackout at the time of Heather's death. Since Heather's killer is not known, there can be multiple suspects.
From Sharon to Daisy Carter or her mother Sheila Carter, many may have wanted Heather dead. That includes Heather's former boyfriend who she left behind when joining Daniel and Lucy in Genoa City.

Whether Chance takes a drastic decision or mulls over the issue carefully remains to be seen. As such, the real culprit will not be revealed on the soap anytime soon thanks to the diversion Sharon caused in the investigation.
