Sharon Collins-Newman has recently created dark twists in The Young and the Restless storyline. The mentally unstable former therapist wanted to poison Daniel but ended up presumably killing Heather. She shrewdly disposed of the body and cleared away all evidence from the crime scene.

However, viewers know Sharon is still holding on to the evidence she picked up from there. In a risky move, she is likely to use them to frame either Daniel or his daughter, Lucy.

Recent fans may not know Sharon shares a cruel past with Daniel on The Young and the Restless, a long-running American soap on CBS, airing since 1973. Sharon faced many ups and downs since her debut in 1994. One such event was her daughter, Cassie's death in a car accident when driving a drunk Daniel. Sharon could not forgive Daniel for her loss.

The Young and the Restless: What happened with Sharon and Daniel?

As Sharon's bipolar disorder got worse on The Young and the Restless, she started to see the now-dead Cameron and even held conversations with him. Cameron represents Sharon's inner dark self, and makes her do things that a conscientious Sharon would refrain from doing.

Encouraged by Cameron, Sharon's resentment toward Daniel escalated, especially after Faith's car accident while driving a drunk Lucy, similar to Cassie's. Furious, Sharon planned to poison Daniel and broke into his house but changed her mind.

However, Heather caught her, and as Sharon tried to leave, she shoved Heather, causing her to fall. Sharon blacked out and, upon waking, found Heather dead with blood from her head. Believing she had killed Heather, Sharon hid the body, removed evidence, and used Heather's phone to text Daniel.

Sharon pretended to be recovering from her mental ailment while trying to cover her tracks.

What would be Sharon's next risky move on The Young and the Restless?

As The Young and the Restless episodes dated October 2, 2024, showed, Heather's body was recovered by the police. Along with many others, Sharon came to know about the latest updates. While she kept blaming herself for the current situation, baffling everyone who heard her, she also tried to fish out more information from Daniel and Lucy.

On Friday's episode, Sharon planned to take action and she was found taking the evidence bag from her car's boot. As viewers would remember, she continued to have the material she collected from the scene of the crime along with Heather's phone. The spoilers hint at Sharon trying to place the evidence in a cabinet, possibly in Daniel's apartment.

However, this tactic of trying to frame Daniel is risky and has a few drawbacks. For one, Daniel has a foolproof alibi and secondly, he is in love with Heather and doesn't have a motive to kill her.

However, if Sharon plans to plant the evidence on Lucy, the child may be in for some tough time. Sharon may be planning to punish Daniel by making him go through the pain of losing a child, just as she herself was suffering for Cassie's death.

While this shows a diabolical side of Sharon's character, the action may actually turn counterproductive. If the authorities look into Lucy's motive, the teenager is likely to bring up Sharon's role. If Sharon's whereabouts are investigated, she will be in trouble due to lack of any alibi.
