For the past many weeks, The Young and the Restless has revolved around Sharon Newman's story. With a character arc that seems to be at its peak, Sharon has found herself in some trouble that might be difficult for her to find her way out of.

In the recent episodes of the soap, Sharon was chloroformed and kidnapped by Jordan Howard at the instructions of Ian Ward. Luckily for Sharon, Jordan decided to go rogue and stray a bit from Ian's plan. Ian wanted to drown and murder Sharon to pin the blame for her death on Phyllis Summers. However, Jordan simply took Sharon captive instead, chaining her to some old sewer pipes.

Now, spoilers for the upcoming episodes of the soap indicate that Sharon might be in for some difficult times ahead. At present, no one has been able to zero in on her location, and she has only had the hallucination of Cameron to give her company. It remains to be seen how Sharon will plan her escape before it is too late.

Sharon Newman has had a tough time on The Young and the Restless lately, ever since the murder of Heather Stevens. Initially, Sharon thought that she was responsible for the crime after she blacked out at the Romalotti house and regained consciousness only after Heather was dead. She panicked and disposed of Heather's body in a nearby river, feeling guilt that she had no control while she may have committed the murder.

Sharon also thought that she was responsible for a car crash that her rival Phyllis was involved in. However, a drug report later found that Sharon's medication for bipolar disorder was being laced with PCP, something that was making her hallucinate and black out more frequently.

Though viewers knew that the nefarious villains Ian and Jordan were responsible for orchestrating everything, Sharon still wanted to confirm whether or not she was innocent. She underwent hypnosis and realised that someone else was in the room with them the night that Heather died. This made Sharon realise that she was innocent.

Unfortunately, while heading to a party for New Year's Eve, Sharon was kidnapped by Jordan before she could meet up with her family members. Jordan also orchestrated a car crash so it would look like Sharon drowned in the river. But, instead of killing her, Jordan shackled Sharon in an underground sewer to one of the unused pipes. It remains to be seen how Sharon escapes her current predicament on the soap.
