Adam Newman, portrayed by Mark Grossman, Victor's troubled son from The Young and the Restless, is at a relationship crossroads. He recently broke up his stable romance with Sally Spectra due to a momentary weakness with his ex-wife, Chelsea Lawson. However, there is a slim chance of him getting back with Chelsea despite the couple bonding over their concern for their son, Connor.

The Young and the Restless episode that aired on December 5, 2024, found Adam Newman being warned off by his brother, Nick Newman. As Adam enquired about Sharon's situation, Nick tried to send him off claiming to have a private conversation with lawyer, Michael Baldwin.

Nick Newman further accused his younger brother of rushing to Sharon every time he was in trouble. While going through a romantically bad patch currently, Adam denied looking for solace from Sharon. Instead, he expressed concern over Sharon's legal and mental condition.

However, elder brother, Nick, forbade him from getting close to Sharon. As Adam's past rebellious character predicts, Nick's warning may actually push Adam in Sharon's direction. Although Sharon is in a deteriorating mental state and worked up over the crimes she confessed to, Adam may be the person connecting to her dark side.

Newly introduced viewers may not be aware of Adam and Sharon's past pairing. Sharon Collins-Newman was married to both Newman brothers at different times. While her affectionate relationship with Nick continued even after their divorce due to the children from the marriage, Sharon and Adam haven't crossed paths in the recent past.

Sharon and Adam share an old relationship dating to the time when Faith Newman was born to Sharon but Adam stole the baby to give to Ashley Abbott. After losing her baby Sharon got close to Adam and the two married. She remained in love with him even after the truth about baby Faith was revealed, even though their marriage ended.

Sharon stayed with Adam Newman during brief blindness and helped hold on to the company, Newman Enterprises, for him. Their relationship ceased after Victor Newman forced Adam to stop seeing Sharon. While Sharon had to give away Adam's son, Christian, to Nick to raise, she went back to him after being dumped by Rey.

She also helped counsel Adam's repressed childhood trauma and his son Connor's OCD. Later, when Adam donated his kidney to save Faith's life, he and Sharon bonded again. Although Sharon helped him get a purpose in life, she had to oust a business merger with him when he grabbed more control in Sharon's company.

The last couple of months have seen Sharon busy with her bipolar disorder and its consequences, while Adam was troubled with Connor's mental health treatments and his own broken relationships. Whether he would stand by Sharon through her problems and Sharon would choose him in return, remains to be seen.
