The Bold and the Beautiful has been developing Luna Nozawa as one of its new villainesses. The soap has been revolving around the character's fall from grace after she committed a string of crimes that were eventually traced back to her.

Recently, Bill Spencer was seen paying Luna a visit in prison, and even securing the path to her freedom. The character will now be on house arrest instead of being in prison.

Given that Bill knows the full extent of Luna's crimes, many fans felt that the story was taking Luna's actions too lightly. Netizens on Facebook seemed to concur in the comments section of a post on the official Facebook age of the soap.

Why are fans upset about Luna being released from prison on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Luna Nozawa is one of the most recent villainesses on The Bold and the Beautiful, perhaps one after the iconic Sheila Carter. Luna was arrested for her multiple crimes on the soap, which included two murders and an abduction with torture. And her string of crimes began with the story of her paternity test.

At the beginning of this storyline, Luna was convinced that Bill Spencer was her father. This was also believed to be true by the town's residents due to a faulty paternity test, which Bill himself took at face value too. However, soon Luna's mother Poppy was confronted by her ex Tom at Il Giardino.

Tom claimed that he was Luna's father, not Bill and that Poppy needed to reveal the truth. Soon after this, Tom collapsed and breathed his last during a music performance where someone poisoned his drink.

The town's detective Hollis began working on the case of Tom's murder and even found letters from Tom claiming that he was Luna's father. Mysteriously, Hollis also ended up dead. Poppy was considered the main suspect in these murders and was even jailed for them. However, it was later revealed that Luna was the one responsible.

After this, Luna also kidnapped Steffy Forrester and held her hostage for leverage. It was only due to Finn Finnegan's investigations that Steffy was recovered and the evidence against Luna was unearthed. After this was revealed, Luna was finally sent to prison for the murders and the abduction.

Now that Luna is being released from prison for house arrest, fans seem upset that the character is getting a more lenient sentence. It remains to be seen how this storyline pans out for Luna and the people she has affected.
