What happened between Ridge and Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Carter Walton and Ridge Forrester are currently at loggerheads on The Bold and the Beautiful. The two are involved in a fight over the ownership and operation of Forrester Creations after Carter created a document that transferred the company's ownership to him, with Ridge's unsuspecting signature.

Carter took control of Forrester Creations to avenge the wrongs against his girlfriend Hope Logan. Hope and Carter were initially a part of the company, with Hope even running her own fashion line and brand. Hope and Carter began dating after her ill-fated feelings for Finn Finnegan elapsed. The two kept their relationship a secret. This caused many misunderstandings later in the storyline.

Hope was trying on some nightdresses in the fashion office to try and impress Carter. During this, Finn walked into the office to give his wife Steffy her laptop, not knowing that Hope was the one inside. A startled Hope in a nightdress tripped and knocked them both into the desk, just as Steffy entered the office.

Since Hope has had feelings for Finn in the last few weeks and has been refuted, Steffy assumed that her rival was trying to seduce her husband once more. Steffy released her anger at Hope by firing her and discontinuing her line at Forrester Creations. She even got the support of her father Ridge.

Angry at these developments, Carter came up with a scheme to dismantle Forrester Creations for Hope. He tricked Ridge into signing a document that transferred ownership of the company. His intentions only solidified when Ridge blamed Hope for the coup against him and Steffy.

However, Carter might not have seen this plan through. With the exit of the Forrester family themselves, the company shall now be short-staffed for just Carter and Hope to run by themselves. The couple shall have to find an alternate plan to retain control over the company while maintaining their customer base.
