The Young and The Restless is one of the longest-running American soap operas. The show debuted in 1973 and has introduced many memorable characters, including Brock Reynolds.
Brock Reynolds, portrayed by Beau Kazer, was first introduced in 1974 as the son of Katherine Chancellor from her previous marriage with Gary Reynolds. He was a recurring character on the soap.
Brock last appeared on the show in 2013 to attend his mother, Katherine's funeral. Following Kazer's passing in 2014, Brock has not returned to the show, leaving the fans wondering about the character's future.
Who is Brock on The Young and The Restless?
Brock turned rebellious after his father's death, especially after his mother remarried Phillip Chancellor II. He left home and struggled with alcoholism. However, in 1974 he was a changed person. He had become a lawyer who was devoted to helping the needy and was part of the World Hunger Organisation.
Katherine's paid companion, Jill Abbott, had an affair with Phillip. To keep Jill away from Phillip, Katherine persuaded Brock to marry Jill. Their marriage ended when she revealed that she was pregnant with Phillip's child.

Brock later intervened to stop Katherine from buying Jill's child. Failing to get the child, Katherine tried to prevent the child from getting Phillips's inheritance. During the trial, Brock testified in favor of Jill but Katherine won. This caused tension between Brock and Katherine but they reconciled.
Brock was unaware of his daughter, Mackenzie, until Katherine revealed her existence to him. During his time in India, Brock had a relationship with Amanda Browing which resulted in Mackenzie's birth.
Although Brock and Mackenzie met later in her life, the father-and-daughter pair developed a deep bond. Brock and Mackenzie lived with Katherine in Genoa City until Brock left again for India.
Despite leaving Genoa City, Brock often returned for important events such as defending Spanner Foster against euthanasia charges and helping him fight the custody of his child, Karen Becker.
On his return in 1989, Brock rescues Katherine after Clint Raidson kidnaps her and replaces her with Marge, a lookalike, to take over Katherine's wealth. With the help of Micheal Sherman, Brock uncovered the plot and saved Katherine and her maid, Esther Valentine, from captivity.
In 2009, Brock officiated his mother, Katherine's wedding to Patrick Murphy, and in 2010, he officiated his daughter, Mackenzie's wedding to J.T.Hellstrom.

Brock's final appearance on the show was at Katherine's funeral, where he delivered a heartfelt eulogy. It was also revealed that Katherine had left one-quarter of her estate in Brock's name which he used for philanthropic purposes.
