Played by Donnell Turner, Curtis Ashford on General Hospital is a retired investigator. He is shown currently running The Savoy, a nightclub, as its proprietor. His connections in the soap include Portia, Trina, Aunt Stella, Marshall Ashford, and his father.
For newly indicted viewers of General Hospital, Curtis first appeared on the soap on November 30, 2015. He had arrived in town to help Hayden find evidence against Nikolas. However, when he met his sister-in-law, Jordan, more of his past was revealed to the audience.
He chose to remain a private investigator when Jordan offered him a job at PCPD. For his most recent storyline, Curtis Ashford is awaiting more action on the show as he arrives in Port Charles for the funeral of his nephew TJ's baby.

General Hospital: A quick look at Curtis Ashford's story arc
In November 2015, private investigator Curtis, portrayed by Donnell Turner, landed in General Hospital to help Hayden. He met his late brother's wife, Jordan, who revealed his past. His dubious past included c*caine addiction and losing his badge.
Initially wary of each other, they soon fell in love. While Curtis claimed he loved Jordan's son TJ, he inadvertently revealed his biological father was Shawn Butler. Jordan offered him a job in the Port Charles Police Department, which he turned down. Curtis proposed marriage to Jordan in 2018.
His aunt, Stella Henry, disapproved of the alliance since she didn't like Jordan and tried to spoil the wedding. However, she gave the couple her blessings in the end. In the absence of his friend Drew Cain, Curtis asked Nina to be his best person at the wedding.
However, their wedding on General Hospital was spoiled as they found Kiki's body in their suite. Curtis helped the local authorities nab the killer. When Jordan was hit by Drew's car and needed a kidney, he joined in stealing Ryan's kidney for her.
On the work front, Curtis started by establishing a private investigation firm with Sam McCall. However, he dissolved the firm to work in Aurora Media to spy on Jax for Valentin. His work involved many cases on General Hospital, where he collaborated with residents of Port Charles.
When Cyrus Renault arrived in Port Charles and took Trina and Cameron hostage, Curtis helped Officer Taggart rescue them. However, when Taggart died of the gunshot in the tussle, Trina blamed Curtis. Moreover, it was revealed that Curtis knew Trina's mother, Portia, in the past.
While he became protective of Trina and Portia, he was offended to learn that Jordan had lied to him about Taggart's death. Realizing a rift in their marriage, Curtis filed for divorce. He bought The Savoy and started dating Portia.
His father, Marshall, came to town to reconnect with the family. He employed Selina Wu to get his father's criminal files. He learned that his father was arrested in a protest but kept in a mental facility for being schizophrenic.
Curtis helped Trina prove her innocence when Esme framed her. In 2023, Curtis and Portia decided to solemnize their wedding on Valentine's Day. After their marriage, he learned that Trina was his biological daughter.

Curtis's grave injury on General Hospital
A shootout at Metro Court Pool, where Curtis was relaxing with his family, caught him unaware. While not the intended target, Curtis was seriously injured and needed spine surgery to remove the bullets. During the surgery, he had a near-death experience when he met his mother's spirit.
Regaining consciousness, he found himself paralyzed from the waist down. Initially depressed with the situation, he agreed to go to rehab. While he was away, his father ran the nightclub. After rehab, his attitude improved, and he went back to investigate.

In January 2024, General Hospital saw Portia learn about an experimental surgery that the couple risked. Luckily, the experiment was a success, and Curtis was cured. He was seen actively helping Drew as he campaigned while using his investigative expertise in the Pikeman issue.
In the episode dated July 12, 2024, he was seen having a date with Portia, set up by Trina. He was last seen on August 21 with Stella, Marshall, and Jordan as Molly and TJ started the funeral process of baby Irene Marie.
