The Young and the Restless: Daniel Romalotti's history on the soap
Daniel is Phyllis Summers' son with Brian Hamilton. Since she was married to Danny Romalotti at the time, Daniel was thought to be Danny's son. However, after learning about the betrayal, Danny divorced Phyllis but took Daniel's custody as revenge. He then left for New York with a very young Daniel who missed his mother throughout his childhood.
Daniel returned to The Young and the Restless as a young adult who resented his mother. He became friends with Kevin and got involved with the crook, Alex, in trying to create a rescue drama for Lily. He started trusting Phyllis after she saved him from Alex. In 2005, Daniel was involved in Cassie Newman's accidental death but amnesia after the incident helped his exoneration.
At the same time, he and Lily Winter got romantically involved and the duo eloped. When caught, Lily was sent to boarding school leaving Daniel heartbroken. The duo again eloped to Las Vegas and got married. However, Amber's association hooked Daniel to pornography followed by a high-level heist with Amber and Kevin, leading to a breakdown of his marriage and left jobless.
While Daniel helped Amber get a job at the lifestyle magazine, Restless Style, he, received the proposal of being an assistant photographer on his father's music tour.
Back to town in 2008, The Young and the Restless viewers saw Daniel and Amber moving in and out of their relationship. Daniel's endeavor in fashion design led him to fake a painting for a huge sum of money. He was released from jail, due to the evidence sent by Amber's former lover, Deacon Sharpe, to ADA Heather.
September 2009 on The Young and the Restless saw Daniel proposing to Amber and getting married two months later. However, Kevin's half-sister Daisy drugged and raped Daniel. While Amber believed his innocence, she ended her marriage fearing for the safety of her son, Eric Sharpe. When Daisy returned pregnant, Daniel put up with her. However, after giving birth, she hit Daniel unconscious and escaped with the baby.
Daniel tried to move on, but his budding relationship with Abby Newman failed due to Diane's interference. When Daniel learned that Victoria and Billy's adopted daughter was his biological baby with Daisy. Though Daniel wrote off his parental rights to Billy, Phyllis fought for baby Lucy, wanting to have her granddaughter in her custody. The battle led to the court ruling in favor of Daisy and an upset Daniel withdrew from his mother.
Despite wanting to move on with Lily, Daniel found himself lending his shoulder to many other Genoa City residents to cry. That included Chloe Mitchell and Eden Baldwin. However, when another custody case over Lucy, between Daisy and Phyllis, ended with Daisy winning Lucy's rights, a desperate Daniel proposed to Daisy.
Daisy went missing and ended up in Fairview. As such, Daniel moved on with Heather Stevens despite his mother's disapproval. After ensuring that Daisy was safe, Daniel moved with Heather and Lucy to Georgia in 2013. He kept visiting Genoa City on various occasions or for his mother's requirements such as Phyllis's coma and Summer's engagement.

When accepted, he got down to work but was reluctant to discuss Heather and Lucy.
