Deacon Sharpe from The Bold and the Beautiful has appeared on the soap and its sister series, The Young and the Restless, since 2000.
Played by Sean Kanan, the character was first introduced as Little Eric's biological father. Upon finding out, he attempted to take custody of the child from Rick Forrester and Amber Moore, who'd been raising him.
Deacon's character went on hiatus after The Bold and the Beautiful's 2005 run, and subsequently reappeared in the soap's 2009-2012 and 2014-2017 runs, before finally reappearing again in 2021 and staying on the soap opera since.
Deacon was involved in numerous romantic subplots, starting with that of Amber herself. Deacon would eventually have another child with Brooke Logan, named Hope, and would orchestrate numerous schemes to keep Amber with him, despite the damage it caused in her life.
As of 2024, Deacon began an affair with Sheila Carter, who he met after being released from prison in 2021. After her apparent death, however, Deacon grew suspicious of whether or not the body truly was hers.
Deacon Sharpe has been on The Bold and the Beautiful since 2000
Deacon has been a presence on The Bold and the Beautiful since his introduction in 2000. After discovering that he was the biological father of "Little Eric", he tried to take custody of the child. He was also drawn to Amber Moore, who raised the child with Rick Forrester and tried to seduce her and get her away from Rick.
However, Deacon was also having an affair with Bridget Forrester, and began feeling guilty about his actions, to the point of leaving Amber behind and trying to marry her. His obsession with Amber did not abate, and he eventually began an affair with Bridget's own mother, Brooke Logan.
Brooke had a child with Deacon, who she named Hope Logan, and she initially tried to cut Deacon out of her life. When Deacon tried to become a part of his daughter's life, Brooke was eventually talked into agreeing by her new partner, Nick Marone.
Brooke would eventually be deemed incapable of caring for her kids, prompting Dean to sign away custody rights to Ridge Forrester. Deacon subsequently became a husband to Macy Alexander, while also having an affair with Jackie Marone. Jackie's husband, Massimo, retaliated by spiking his drink with alcohol, forcing Dean to skip town due to relapsing into alcoholism.
Deacon would subsequently reappear on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2009, with him posing as an art dealer. He wormed his way back into Amber's life by having her boyfriend, Daniel Romalotti, framed and sent to prison.
He used Daniel as leverage to extort sexual favors from her, while also making moves on Phyllis Summers, who was repulsed by him but eventually slept with him.
Deacon also plotted to get Meggie McClain into Victor's good graces by exploiting Nikki Newman's alcoholism. He was later blackmailed by Phyllis Summers into kidnapping Amber and leaving town with her in exchange for a cell phone containing incriminating information about him.
It's eventually revealed that Phyllis worked with Daniel Romalotti to get him caught by the police, resulting in Deacon going to prison on kidnapping charges.
Bill Spencer would subsequently offer Deacon his freedom if he went along with his plan to drive Liam Spencer and Hope Logan apart. Deacon agreed to the deal, but couldn't go through with his end of the bargain and hurt his own daughter, and decided to disappear instead.
In the 2024 run of The Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon was romantically involved with Sheila Carter, who he encountered after he was released from a four-year prison sentence in October 2021. Hope didn't approve of Deacon's affair with Sheila and tried to get him to leave her.
However, Sheila herself was apparently murdered by Steffy Forrester, but Deacon eventually grew suspicious of this turn of events after discovering that the supposed corpse had ten toes.
