Eric Forrester is currently waiting to host Thomas and Paris's wedding at his mansion as per tradition on The Bold and the Beautiful. One of the original characters, Eric has recently taken a step back from active drama after surviving his serious illness. He was also seen bonding with his son Ridge after a long-drawn professional rivalry between the two.
From the premiere of The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric Forrester has been part of the soap. He debuted as a married man with kids who also had extra-marital relationships with women. He was also seen yo-yo-ing between Stephanie and Brooke for some time before moving on to other women.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Knowing about Eric Forrester's journey
The Bold and the Beautiful's debut in 1987 saw Eric Forrester married to Stephanie Forrester and have children Ridge, Thorne, Kristen, Felicia, and Angela. In a bid to rival Eric's secretary, Margo Lynley, Stephanie invited a few caterers including Eric's ex-girlfriend Beth Logan.
Eric resumed his affair with Beth but returned to his marriage after learning about a sick Angela, who he believed to have died at birth. However, Angela Forrester was long dead and an impostor was revealed to have taken her place. He also had a forgetful Thorne on hand who had shot Ridge but was oblivious.
Around the same time, Ridge was dating Beth's daughter Brooke Logan while Caroline Spencer was married to Thorne. A revelation of Brooke's schemings changed the equations, as Caroline left Thorne and returned to her first love Ridge.
A dumped and single Brooke was consoled by Eric who went on to have an affair and a marriage with her. Brooke and Eric had two children from their union, Rick and Bridget. As Brooke went back to Ridge, Eric remained solicitous and caring.
The The Bold and the Beautiful storyline in 2001 revealed Ridge Forrester was not Eric's son but Massimo Marone and Stephanie's child. While hurt by the revelation, Eric still continued to support and rely on Ridge over his other children.
The 2005 storyline found Eric divorcing Stephanie and marrying Brooke again. However, Stephanie became the CEO of the company and decided to demote both Eric and Brooke as designers. The couple separated again freeing Eric to come back to Stephanie.
Eric, next, fell for Brooke's sister Donna Logan, and married her despite Stephanie's plans to stop the union. Eric ended up poisoned and in a coma while Donna headed Forrester Creations in his place. She fired Ridge, Thorne, and Felicia while appointing all Logan people.
Although Eric regained consciousness, his marriage to Donna spelled doom for the company. While Rick sold company secrets to a rival, a divorced Stephanie joined the rival company. However, when Bill Spencer Jr. took over the company, Ridge's daughter, Steffy brought it back to the family.
Strains in their relationship forced Eric to divorce Donna. Soon, Stephanie was diagnosed with cancer and Eric decided to stand by her. To give her true happiness, they remarried in 2012. Stephanie refused to get treatment for her relapsed cancer and died a happy woman, the same year.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Eric after Stephanie's death
Eric remained a lonely man for some time after Stephanie's death. His friendship with Steffy's mother, Taylor Hayes died down. He next married Quinn Fuller despite resistance from his family. However, again Quinn was two-timing Ridge and Eric. He repeatedly caught Quinn plotting and scheming but forgave her each time. He even allowed her to pursue an extra-marital relationship with Carter Walton.
With Carter in Quinn's life, Eric found guilty pleasure in a secret affair with Donna. After being caught by his wife, Eric strove to uncomplicate the ties by urging Quinn to go after Carter. The year 2023 on The Bold and the Beautiful presented the patriarch suffering from a degenerative illness which affected his work. He and Ridge held a designer's competition at the end of which his family celebrated his win, as Ridge graciously changed the results.
After Finn and Bridget performed an experimental surgery, Eric was cured of his illness. 2024 found the Forrester patriarch recovering rapidly from his surgery. He realized he loved Donna and they remarried officiated by Carter.
Eric faces difficult situations with his family facing hidden tussles. As Steffy has taken over the reins of Forrester Creations and holds a strong dislike for Brooke and Hope, the future is poised at impending storm the family ties.
